Session Guitarist

Jazz trained, rock brained, the sauce, tone, and vibe always of utmost importance. Session guitarist since 2010 with master drummer/producer Narada Michael Walden. Searing rock, dreamy chords, ambient texture, funky counterpoint are among my strengths.

I recieved my Bachelors of Music from the University of Miami in Jazz guitar and studio music in 1997. Studied classical guitar as a young adult and steeped myself in improvisation, indian classical music, blues, metal, African folk music, afrobeat, funk, and whatever else I can get my hands into.
As a freelance guitarist in the bay area I was a member of funk master Zigaboo Modeliste (The Meters) band for 15 years. I toured extensively with Vusi Mahlasela (South Africa's best male vocalist 2007), and have been the guitarist with fusion drummer and grammy-award winning producer Narada Michael Walden (Jeff Beck, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin) since 2010. Together we have recorded 6 albums and toured internationally.
Over 22 years as a freelance/session player I've played on countless recordings and live gigs including: Singer/songwriters, afrobeat, funk, jazz, progressive rock, neo-soul, gospel, hard rock
As a bandleader my recordings are in the modern jazz, progressive metal, and instrumental rock guitar categories.
