I'm a composer/arranger bassist and multi-instrumentalist born and raised in LA studying composition and double bass at USC. I've performed and recorded with artists such as David Binney, Louis Cole, Justin Brown, Steve Lehman, and Ambrose Akinmusire. I play violin, viola, double bass, electric bass and am proficient in Logic for remote recording.
Composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist Ethan Moffitt is currently a student of classical bass and composition at the USC Thornton School of Music. During his time at USC he has studied with artists such as Andrew Norman and Ted Hearne (composition) as well as David Moore (long-time member and bassist of the LA Philharmonic). He has also been raised studying and playing the jazz tradition and has performed and recorded with artists such as David Binney, Louis Cole, Justin Brown, Steve Lehman, and Ambrose Akinmusire. He has also received several awards for his compositions and arrangements from organizations such as Downbeat Magazine, the Berklee College of Music and Jazz at Lincoln Center.

Endorse Ethan MoffittUsually I flinch at the term "multi-instrumentalist" but Ethan is truly one of the most talented people I've ever met. He's one of my first call bass players, and is well equipped for recording, timely and professional. While having a strong classical and thus technical background, he also brings a youthful vigor to the music--a rare combination to come by.
