My name’s Luca! I’ve got a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Popular Music. I’ve been singing, writing and recording music professionally for over 8 years now. I have experience with a wide range of genres, especially Dance Pop, Trap Pop, and EDM.

I’ve been studying creators and songwriters like Max Martin (The Weeknd, Britney Spears, Ariana Grande), Ester Dean (Rihanna, Nicki Minaj), Justin Tranter (Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus), and Louis Bell (Camila Cabello, Post Malone), just to name a few.

Interview with Luca Farroni

Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Catchiness. I love experimenting with multiple types of hook, almost like an obsession.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I like to add something potentially impactful to everything I do, whether it's a specific phrase in the lyrics or a dramatic leap. It could be anything.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm in love with Max Martin and Lady Gaga. Max writes following a sort of mathematical approach while Lady Gaga approaches the songwriting using contrast and emotions as the core elements. I always try to incanalate both math and guts in what I do.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: They usually send me a track they made and sometimes they also tell me what title the song should have. I write the top-line following the musical style and then I work on the lyrics, exploring a variety of possibilities. When I know what the melodic direction is and what kind of message the producer wants to send, I look for the best combination of elements.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: The people that hired me always had the music ready and they wanted me to add the melody and the words, so I am used to deep dive into their work in order to find the most coherent and effective solution.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work with Logic Pro X, a Focusrite Scarlett Solo and I record my vocals using a condenser microphone RODE NT1-A.
