Electric Eye Recorders
I began my musical journey in 1964 when at seventeen my parents bought me my first guitar, at first learning folk songs and then the galvanizing invasion of The Beatles and my path was forever changed. I have been a performing musician, songwriter and recordist ever since, living in Houston, Northern California, Tucson, Austin, and now Pittsburgh
Let's face it, these days anyone with a computer and a microphone can call themselves a studio. But it is so much more; the acoustics of the recording and mixing space, the variety of microphones and processing gear to select from, the experience of the engineer, and most importantly the comfort level provided in the recording environment. At best it can be described as one of fragile chemistry, and one where feeling free to create is of the utmost importance. As the owner of Electric Eye Recorders, I have been on both sides of “the glass”, not only as a musician but as a engineer and producer with knowledge of equipment, knowing the questions to ask, how to collaborate and work as a part of your team, in a comfortable atmosphere where you can create.
