I am a London based songwriter, producer and mix engineer. I graduated from Leeds College of Music with a 1st class degree and have 3 years experience working in professional studios. I have worked on a variety of different projects for independent artists around the UK. I am also a professional guitarist and bass player.
My aim is to help you get the best possible sound out of your music. I always like to work closely with my clients as I feel it is important that the artist/ songwriter is very involved in the way their music is created, in order to bring their vision to life.
I have been working recently at Ten87 Studios based in London in pre production. Here I spend my time producing simple vocal tracks in huge pop songs. I have been also working as a mix and mastering engineer and have mixed many artists, bands and large scale projects.
I specialise in mostly rock and pop, however I do not shy away from any type of music. All genres are welcome! Lately I have been working on a few trap projects and i am loving the process.
My setup is simple. I do not have access to a big studio, however that hasn't stopped me in the past from making high quality music. I work in the box mostly and use many high end plugins such as UAD and Waves. I also work using a pair of PMC Result 6's which are very good monitors.
I am a guitarist at heart, so am able to track any guitar and bass when needed. I also know many people that have a good drum setup that I could use at a very low price.
If your interested in working with me, please drop me a message before buying so we can make sure you work is ready to mix!
I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.

Interview with Joe Menzies
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: It is a dream of mine to work with Donald Glover. Ludwig Göranssan does an excellent job producing his work, but I would love to just be in the room and see the creative process that happens when working on a Gambino track.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Experiment with the genre of your song idea before diving into a set style. There have been many projects I have worked on that started in one style, but happened to sound even better when put into a different arrangement.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I have most experience working on indie and alternative rock music, however I like to get involved in all styles. At the moment I am working on a lot of trap and RnB projects.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I am a guitarist at heart, but I also pride myself on my arranging and mixing capability.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I always try to incorporate a unique sound for all the clients I work with. When working with me, you will not only get a professional standard mix, but you will also receive a piece of work that has its own originality to it. Something that will stand you out from other artists in the same field.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to sit down with my clients and discuss the initial idea of the project before getting into the production. I like to know the exact styles and influences of the work. I find it important to work closely with my clients throughout the production in order to provide the best possible work for them.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: At the moment I work mostly in my home studio, however I have access to studios in London. I regularly work at Ten87 In Tottenham Hale.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: A big inspiration of mine is Andrew Schepps. I met Andrew while being at college and had the privilege of showing him some of my work. He is a great mixing engineer and an excellent producer.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: As a graduate, I am at the moment seeking to do all sorts of work with my clients. I have just finished working on a project where I was involved in the recording, pre and post production, as well as the mixing and mastering.
