Producer, songwriter and lyricist.
Hi, my name is Mathias Lindgaard, but you can just call me Daqo.
I started my journey about 10 years ago, when I started writing lyrics for local rock-bands. Since then I have evolved into other genres as Rap, RnB and Pop. At 16 I knew I wanted to make music for the rest of my life, so I started writing my own songs and recording myself as a rapper. A couple of years after, I started writing for a publishing label as a songwriter, and have been involved in different genres and networks since then. Finally, I found a spark inside the creative process of producing music as it's evolving along my songwriting
My primary job in the studio has always been lyrics, but I have always been involved in every process, so what I might be able to help you with is:
- Making a beat that matches what you're searching for. (I work closely with an experienced producer, so mixing will also be possible)
- Creating a concept for your song that matches your artist profile.
- Lastly, writing the song
Please do not hesitate contacting me if you wanna talk about your project and how I might be able to assist you.

*** I'm currently building my discography as a producer, contact me if you want a preview of unreleased and purchasable tracks. I was only a writer on the song listed.

Interview with DAQO
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: The Weeknd, Machine Gun Kelly, PND, Stormzy, Nirvana, John Mayer, Joyner Lucas, Bille Eilish, Cole
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I always wanted to make music since I was around 10 years old. I wanted to be a rockstar, and somehow that dream just kept building.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: J. Cole because of his unique story telling both lyrically and musically. And The Weeknd also because of the story telling and invitation to this dark universe.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Follow the music instead of your head. Letting go is better than taking control in the creative process.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip Hop, RnB, Lo-Fi, Trap
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Probably lyrics since I've been writing for almost 10 years, but otherwise I think the production and concept development. I really want to perfect producing.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Producing the beat, catching a feeling, writing ideas/concept and then slowly starting to form a story.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a home studio, and I'm currently building a new in my new apartment. I also work from a professional studio from time to time.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually start with a conversation to get a feel of what is needed for the particular assignment. Afterwards I would start creating a beat, and then start working with the concept with the client. I would usually prefer having the client working on the lyrics as well because the story is often more important than the actual writing.
