I own a small studio (Silent Street Recordings) based in Poland, where I work as an composer, mixing engineer, producer and sound designer. My musical experience focuses on pop-rock, hardrock, metal music gneres.
I love to work with various artists - it doesn't matter if it's your first song or you're already a legend.

Interview with Mateusz Janiak
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. At the moment I don't have much outboard but I hope to get some API 500 in near future. Not because it's better, it's beacuse making music is fun :)
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I'll do my best to get you a tracks that you're fully satisfied with. I'm aware it's your music and you want it to sound as good as it's possible so for me your satisfaction is more valuable than money.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Job that is my passion. Could it be better?
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How much/How long/Is it possible :)
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are their sound expectations, any reference recordings, do they need any additional stuff on their music
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't hesitate to ask!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: RME interface, Neumann monitors, Notebook (to check soundbetter :D), headphones for windy nights and my favourite coffee cup :)
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Metallica. Because I love their music and just can't stand the sound of their last production.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Usually I work on heavy sounds - from pop-rock (Avril Lavigne, Blink 182 style) to technical Death Metal. I'm also a musician playing with different bands so rock/metal gneres are no secrets for me.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I try to bring everything that makes client satisfied:)
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: There are plenty of them - Andy Wallace, Andy Sneap, Terry Date, Jason Suecof, Colin Richardson, Wieslawscy Bros, CLA, Ross Robinson. And for the musicans I love to watch - Chuck Schuldiner, Dave Lombardo, Iron Maiden, Metallica (old days...), Slayer, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Cannibal Corpse....etc....etc... :) Beside metal scene I love to listen to Hans Zimmer and Ludovico Einaudi, Queen music is just fabulous!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most common type of work...hmmm...online mixing and mastering. Sometimes drum recording or editing.
