Polished Mix on SoundBetter

Mixing | Mastering | Production | Editing Specializing in rock, metal, singer/songwriter styles.

My main focus is rock mixing with added production (if needed).

If the song calls for it, I can add additional parts, suggest arrangement changes and engage in a creative collaboration to make sure you end up sounding great.

I am a certified Pro Tools Operator and have worked with and learned from Sylvia Massy (Tool, System of a Down) and Rich Veltrop (Tom Petty, Ozzy Osbourne, Pink, Rage Against the Machine).

Recording services available in San Francisco Bay Area.

  1. Review by Q Project

I worked with Jacek when I was in my band. Now as an electronic/pop solo artist, I trust him fully when it comes to mixing and leave him parts of arrangement - he always comes up with something great.
If you want your piece to sound mighty and modern, choose Jacek and let him follow his instinct ;)

  2. Review by Bill Minnery

Jacek’s mixes got us radio play at KFOX (classic rock station) and we won ‘Best of Bay’ award two years in a row.

He made the project fun instead of stressful and contributed as if he was a vested member of the band. We could not have been happier with the results.

I highly recommend Jacek for any of your recording projects!

  3. Review by Pornstarsband

Jacek mixed our entire record, 12 rock-pop-electronic songs, and we were amazed how he foresaw our likings and expectations. We barely asked for any tweaks:) He has a great sense of genre and current trends, if you're into modern rock, pop or some heavier stuff - just go for Jacek.

Interview with Polished Mix

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I did a remix for Steven Wilson's 'Abandoner' and he personally picked it as his favorite. I look up to Steven for his mixing, production and song writing skills, so this was a huge honor for me.

  3. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  4. A: Listen to the engineer's samples and look for somebody who gets what you do, instead of somebody who takes any job that comes their way. If the engineer is inspired by your music, you will end up with a great sounding song.

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: I get inspired most by music featuring guitars and drums but there have been electronic projects I've been involved with and really enjoyed working on.

  7. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  8. A: It depends on the song. Some clients have a very particular arrangement they have in mind and just need a clean mix. Other times, I have added additional guitars, keys, background vocals, or percussive elements to add interest to each section of a song.

  9. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  10. A: Devin Townsend, Steven Willson, Opeth, Anathema, Ray Charles, John Williams
