Liam McDermott on SoundBetter

If you are looking for an indie sound, I'm your guy. I have an eclectic style (I can accommodate/ incorporate any musical influences you like) and I love film. I am very enthusiastic about contributing my music to another medium. I am willing to work with you every step of the way and produce the perfect musical accompaniment for your project.

Hello,

I have been making music for some time. I have published two albums and an EP. Below are several original instrumentals from said albums and EP, and an original score. I am very capable of adapting the style, instrumentation, arrangement to fit your project. If you are interested in what I have written, I'd love to talk more about collaborating!

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: Folk, soft rock, blues, et cetera

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  10. A: I listen to all kinds of music, and absorb techniques from all genres and backgrounds. When I go to write and/or record a song, a synthesize all I've learned to create something unique which doesn't merely adhere to genre constrictions.

  13. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  14. A: I have several bass guitars, acoustic guitars, electric guitars, bass and guitar amps respectively. I have multiple drum kits and percussion instruments. I have good quality condenser and dynamic microphones and I studied at a music school, so I have a fairly decent understanding of audio engineering and audio theory.

  15. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  16. A: I love Neko Case, George Harrison, Courtney Barnett, Duke Ellington, and various other musicians of disparate genres.

  17. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  18. A: I am new to freelancing but I once sold a kid a love song in high school that he tried to use to woo his crush. It didn't work and I never got my money.
