Strings by Little Lake Arts on SoundBetter

High quality, affordable string section recording and arranging. Whether you want a single, soaring solo violin, or a lush string section, Little Lake Arts is here for you. I will record your string arrangements, or work with you to create the string sound you're looking for. Credits include Ben Harper, Mariachi Divas, and Quartet405.

Services offered:
Beautifully written and performed string tracks. Performing on violin, viola, and cello, I can record anything from a full string ensemble to a single solo track for your music. I'm so proud of the home studio I have built. I have an array of fine microphones and preamps that you can choose from, or you can let me decide on the best gear to compliment your music. I can send you clean stems to mix as you choose, or I can mix the strings for you. I look forward to working with you!

    Rebecca was amazing.
She recorded a whole Violin song in a few days.
She played exactly how I wanted it and more.

I was so pleased that I asked her to play the viola for the same song.
Amazing artist, professional, and easy to work with.

I will recommend her to anyone.

Interview with Strings by Little Lake Arts

  1. Q: What's your typical work process?

  2. A: My work process really depends on what the song or project calls for. If I'm recording your arrangement, I like to familiarize myself with the song before I get to work. If I'm writing an arrangement for you, sometimes I'll work in Sibelius first to compose the parts, and other times I'll work straight to Protools, brainstorming and recording ideas that I'll later refine to create the finished string arrangements.

  3. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  4. A: My studio is called Little Lake Sound. I work in Protools and use an Apollo Quad Thunderbolt 8 channel interface. I also love using my CAPI, Trident, and TL Audio preamps. My favorite mics in our collection for strings are the Stam 47, which is a Neumann clone, AKG c214, and MXL ribbon mic.

  5. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  6. A: First and foremost, I'm always inspired by my clients and the amazing artists I have the privilege to work with on a daily basis. It is such and honor to be asked to be a part of someone's musical creation! Additionally, I have recently been on a film composer kick. I love listening to the music of Danny Elfman, Ennio Morricone, Alan Silvestri, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and Hildur Guðnadóttir
