Producer, engineer & multi-instrumentalist Tim Lyons is the owner and operator of Winged Anvil. Tim did his first paying gig at age 12 and hasn’t stopped since—he’s been fortunate enough to have toured the world as a sideman playing guitar, electric & upright bass, keys and trumpet, and contributed to numerous recordings as a session musician, engineer and producer (though his favorite shows are always small pub gigs with large bar tabs). Equally comfortable on either side of the glass, Tim is able to work with artists at every phase of their music’s development, from co-writing to arranging to playing nearly every instrument to final mixdown & mastering. Tim has deep connections to the music communities of DC, Boston, Nashville, LA and his hometown of Chicago, and access to this incredible network of musicians & creatives is a key ingredient of Winged Anvil’s special sauce.
