Endorse James BryanThough I have only performed on stage with James, I can only imagine the magic that he would bring to anyone’s writing or recording session. He is well versed in numerous styles of music from jazz to reggae to pop and hip hop, blues and beyond. If you’re looking for that extra punch of creativity to take your jams to the next level, bring this guy on board. You won’t be disappointed!
I have had the honour of collaborating with James on six songwriting projects and full scale concert productions over the past thirteen years. James is a virtuosic guitarist with a huge wealth of experience performing, writing, and producing works around the globe with some of the biggest stars. His passion and compassion provide inspiration to all who work with him!
Highest recommendation!Oh my goodness, I've known James since 2002 (or 2003?!). We met and connected immediately while he played acoustic and I sang. He's a phenomenal accompanist with such a soulful, rhythmic and interpretive feel. His ideas and precise execution reflect his genius talent and big heart. We've written and recorded many songs together, including our 2015 release "Summer Sessions." He's encouraged me to grow technically and expressively as an artist. I consider him an amazing gift in my life and look forward to our next projects and chances to collaborate.
I've worked with James Bryan for many years. For me, he's one of the top guitar players in Canada. He has a distinct style when performing on the guitar - a truly unique voice on his instrument. His technique is excellent, and playing with him feels very natural and easy. He is also a talented songwriter, arranger, and producer. I am fortunate to have collaborated with him on a number of projects, and I always look forward to sharing the stage with him.
Award-Winning Toronto Producer Who Moved To LA: 'I keep trying different session guitarists here and nobody can touch James.'
Me: 'Yeah I've been telling you that forever! He's better than anyone.'
We came up completely spoiled, recording with James in Toronto. Play him a song and he instantly hears the layers it needs, electric and acoustic. He has all of the right gear and a wealth of experience dialing in sounds. Then the magic—his precision and feel are crazy. He rarely needs more than one take per track. On top of this, he's relaxed, generous and genuine. Wholehearted endorsement!
I am a London based songwriter/producer and have been lucky enough to work on many different projects with James. Not only is he an astoundingly talented guitarist, but also an excellent keyboard player, string arranger, drum programmer and producer. He possesses an exceptional ear for melody and has a natural ability of getting the best out of artists by helping create a relaxed and fun atmosphere in sessions. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending James for any artist or project as his vast musical knowledge and ability allows him to cover nearly every genre of music.
I’m a professional musician, songwriter and recording artist and I greatly respect James work both as a musician and composer. I have had the opportunity to collaborate with him once in the past and it was a real pleasure. I truly hope we are able to make music together again in the near future.
I am a guitar student of James and have been for several years. James is a master guitarist who's passion and knowlege of music is only exceeded by his positivity and outlook on life. His ability to break down musical concepts and capture the feeling or essence of songs in a variety of different genres is just a part of what makes him a great teacher and musician. I am constantly inspired by his playing and would highly recommend him.
