10-year producer, 12+ year audio engineer for various genres. I focus on the client and their needs to make the best sound possible.
Hi, folks!
My name is Jordin. I have been in the audio industry for over 12 years, working for various musicians and assisting them in creating a professional, radio-ready sound at an affordable price. I have experience in producing instrumentals ( Hip-Hop, Trap, and EDM), mixing (Hip-Hop, Pop, EDM, and Rock), and mastering most genres of music.
Being a musician myself, I understand the troubles that can arrive during the mixing process. You have a great song recorded, and you are excited to show the world. But your current mixing engineer just can't get it right. Your other engineer is far too expensive. Frustration arrives.
But don't worry, your new track is safe with me.
When working together, your desires will be met without error. You will receive the highest quality mixes. If my work does not live up to your expectations, I offer multiple revisions until you are completely satisfied.
With quality work at an affordable price, you can be assured that your track will be able to surpass those on the radio!
Contact me! I look forward to working with you.

Pleasure dealing with Lucius. I’ve dealt with dozens of other engineers before and I’m always tired of them not listening and having to do countless revisions. He listens. He understands and has the skill to achieve what you need. 5*. Don’t hesitate to use him.

Interview with Jordin Haynes
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Producing my latest release "Lost One". It is such a beautifully crafted acoustic track, and for some reason gives me nostalgia. I suppose it reminds me of wonderful times. I hope it does the same to those who listen to it!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Currently, my own personal tracks, as I am a bit of a musician myself!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Not yet. I am still in the process of networking!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Some have better uses in some aspects than the other does. Get the best of both worlds!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: When you work with me, You *will* be satisfied in the end!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The little "head bob" that you do when the mix is sounding great.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Can you make my song sound similar to (Insert artist name here)? I sure can!! Can you make my vocals sound professional? I sure can!! My microphone quality isn't that great. Will this be an issue? Not at all. I have a couple of techniques that can make even the cheapest microphone sound decent.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That all I do is "push buttons". Try telling that to a computer programmer. (hehe!)
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What type of sound are you looking for? Which artist most closely resembles the type of sound you would like? Where will this song be played? Is it just for soundcloud? Do you plan to release it on the radio? In the club? For live performance? (for producing) What type of instrumental would you like? What would be its mood?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Pay attention to reviews. It is important to get trusted feedback about a provider from other people who have worked with them.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My two studio monitors, My two ears, and my laptop. Less is more!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been producing and mixing for over 10 years now. I began back in 2008, when EDM was beginning to grow even more than it already was. Since then, I have honed my craft through daily practice, and have surely put in my 10,000 hours of work to ensure my client's get the best possible product.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style can be considered very energetic and uplifting. Energy is motion, which can move mountains if directed properly.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Post Malone. Simply because he seems like such a down-to-earth gentleman.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is truly more. A proper mix should need only a few changes. This brings out the "natural-ness" of the sounds within the piece of music. Mixing can be considered a deductive art, such as making a sculpture. You eliminate the parts you do not need, while keeping all of the essentials.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: My main branch of music is Hip-Hop, though I also have experience working on EDM, Rock, and forms of soft acoustic music. I am able to produce full instrumentals in Hip-Hop and EDM.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My communication skills are by far my strongest skills. Clients usually compliment that their finished work was exactly as they desired from me, and that communication was plentiful, detailed and thorough.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I strive to bring a sense of professionalism into a song. When work is needed by a client, it is my desire to make the record sound like it was recorded in a professional, million-dollar studio... all for an affordable price that will not break the client's pocket. Along with this professionalism, I will bring the client's vision into reality. Their music will sound exactly like the client imagined it to be.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My first step is to consult the client and get an extreme understanding of exactly what he or she desires. This may include the specific sound, mood, sonic orientation, etc. Next, I work on the client's order diligently and with great care, keeping the client's vision in mind. I then take the finished product and test it on various audio devices (such as headphones, monitors, phone speakers, car speakers, expensive headphones, cheap earbuds, etc.) in order to be sure that the mix translates well across all platforms.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My equipment includes the KRK Rockit G3 studio monitors, Beyer Dynamic DT-770 Pro's, Akai APC40 MKII, Audio Technica AT-2020 recording mic, and most importantly, a set of professionally trained ears!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I have my inspirations from engineers like Dave Pensado, who really takes pride in his work as a mix engineer. He has inspired me to pursue this path further. I also take inspiration from musicians such as Iprevail, Prince, Jay Z, and modern inspirations such as XXXTENTACION.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My most common work includes mixing and mastering various Hip Hop songs for clients. Often, I am requested for producing Hip Hop instrumentals as well. I am also consulted for EDM-based projects, mostly in full song production.
