Absolutely awesome job bringing my track to the next level. Honestly the fastest mix I've ever received. Sudds is also incredibly helpful and friendly. He'll get you rolling!

Josh will get your sound right from the very first mix. He did a fantastic job with my song, adding elements, both mixing and production-wise that elevated the song monumentally. 5+ stars.

Project was smooth overall and Josh, as always, was FANTASTIC to work with! Super happy with the end product and can't wait to work again with him here soon! 10/10 DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

Josh is such a great guy! Loved having him on another project with us! He kills it every time, and I’ve worked with him enough to know that I can depend on him for everything I send his way! WORK WITH HIM!

Josh was awesome! First off, he was patient. I reached out to him for the job of tuning/cleaning up the lead vocals on an original song for a film, but production got a tad behind and he was gracious in still working with us after the delay. Secondly, his work was masterful! He delivered exactly what we needed to bring the song to the next level, and delivered it in an amazingly swift time frame. I'll be using him again for sure, and you all should too!

Josh kills it EVERY TIME! His work speaks for himself and we seriously love sending all of our projects to him! 10/10 DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

Super happy yet again! My go to mixing engineer, for so many reasons. Makes vocals shine and everything sound beyond professional. 10/10!

Josh KILLED THIS PROJECT 🤘🤘🤘
He never ceases to impress me with his ability to bring out the best of each project I send his way! I’ve been so fortunate to have been able to work with him on such a consistent basis and I feel like we’ve gotten to a point where he deeply understands my music and my voice, and it’s incredible! He’s just the type of guy that you can always rely on and trust that your gonna be taken care of! BEST MIX ENGINEER OUT THERE!

Josh continues to blow my mind with his ability to breathe so much life into a project! On top of that he makes the process soooo easy and works to make sure that you feel confident with end result! SUCH A STUD

There’s a reason I keep coming back to use Josh, he’s just a honest and really good/dependable guy! The process is always so smooth with him and I know I can count on him to get our projects to the level they need to be. He’s got all of the experience and skills to seriously compete with anybody else on this platform and it really shows in his work! Can’t say enough good things about this guy!

I just have to say that Josh always comes through with a project!!! I can’t begin to state just how big of a role he’s played in all of our music, he gets us feeling sounding so professional and for that reason we keep coming back! Absolutely love working with this guy!

5 star, Josh was great to work with, and got my song back extremely fast. The end result was far above expectation. Highly recommend

I didn’t think it was possible for Josh to still blow my mind! I’ve just come to know that anything he gives back to us is going to be freaking fantastic, but MAN OH MAN did he deliver on this project haha! This has BY FAR been my favorite project with Josh! He took my expectations and just completely blew past them with what he gave us back this time and it just goes to show that I can trust him to knock anything we throw his way, right out of the park and into the next state! Josh ROCKS!

Josh, as always, is just a frickin’ STUD like no other! I’ve had the pleasure of being able to work with him for a while now and it’s so nice to have the kind of relationship where I know Josh is gonna dive into any project we throw at him, and they are all gonna come out sounding freaking incredible! Without Josh, none of our projects would sound any near where they are now, instead they would be total amateur crap! He is quite literally the most important part of our team!

Josh KILLED it as always! Working with him is such a breeze and he really knows how to get everything feeling just right! Josh is the man and if you still aren’t using him, I don’t to now what’s wrong with you!
Interview with Sudds Studios | Josh Sudduth
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Eric Mulder (Acoustic Guitar), Reed Pittman (Keys), Patrick Kiloran (beats), Ivana Marie (alt pop or rock female vocals)
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I like both. I currently work out of my home completely "in the box". But I've used analog gear in studios too. They are tools. As long as the finished product is good, none of that matters.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: The most common question is how fast my turn around time is. It's usually 2-4 work days for mixes and 1-2 weeks for production- this is for the first draft of whatever we are working on. Finishing projects is totally up to the clients and how fast they get me their revisions.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I don't really have a dream "celeb" artist that I wish to work with, but I do have an ideal artist personality. Artists that are open to try things, have direction for their artistry and know how to enjoy the process are usually the most fun to work with. Being nice people helps too lol
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: 1. You agree to my proposal // I schedule the day I start your project 2. I send you a mix 1 or a rough of you song production 3. You either leave revision notes or we move forward to exporting your receivables. 4. You call the project finished and we both leave reviews!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Max Martin, Ryan Tedder, Charlie Puth etc...
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it’s easily replicated.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I’d say because I grew up with my mother loving literally every genre she heard from classical to screamo, I think have a well rounded but unique sense of where I'd like to take a song. I'm a emotional guy and I want the music I produce to convey the appropriate emotions.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Listen to their examples. You should love what they do before talking to them. It makes the process so much easier on both ends. A producer/mixer/mastering engineers sound won't change for your project no matter how many revisions.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I feel like I've always had a knack for good vocal production. It's certainly one of my favorite parts of a project.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My first full album that I wrote and produced was with a songwriter name Abigail Grace. I learned so much about the process and I think you can tell a huge difference between her two EPs. She came to me with her songs and an acoustic guitar and allowed me to make them into something more. I believe her project is what threw me into being the type of producer/songwriter and mixer I am today!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I've got several projects in the works currently but I just recently had a song go #1 on Radio Disney and another hit 40 on European charts.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Guitar, backpack w/laptop/solar power charger??, and my wife.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What kind of sound are you looking for? Do you have references? Whats your deadline? Do you want it shaken or stirred?
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I was always experimenting with recording when I was in high school. I started recording my own bands then other bands started asking me to record them. So about 11 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Clean and punchy.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Google and youtube are your friends. I'm completely self-taught.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly pop, rock, singer-songwriter, CCM, and country.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use Logic X, UA Apollo 8p and JBL Monitors. It's all I need.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I produce songs for songwriters and artists and some bands. I typically do all the music myself and eliminate the need for studio musicians.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: The project isn't done until they are 100% happy. I don't settle for "good enough"
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I get to make music and new friends!
