Guitar, bass, mixing, etc

I'm Stephen Carrington; I've been involved in music production—including audio recording, mixing, & mastering—in the metro Atlanta area since the late 1980s. I've been teaching guitar for years, as well as operating an independent studio since the mid-90's. I can produce, engineer, mix & master just about any project, and add guitar & bass as well.

I'm primarily a guitarist--my main gig is being a private guitar teacher--and I also play some bass (although I am really centered on the heavy rock side of bass playing, rather than the slap/funk/etc school of bass playing), and then I also offer mixing and mastering (and related) services. I've produced a bunch of projects over the years (mostly rock and related genres), played more shows than I can remember, and I've done a good bit of session work as well (mostly guitar and bass).

I've also spent many years recording & mixing music, and working in non-music recording scenarios (like for commercial voiceovers, audiobooks, ADR for TV and movies, etc), including several years at Doppler Studios in Atlanta GA--I worked the last few years they were in business, and then spent a few months helping the owners dismantle the equipment after it closed. During that time, I worked on or was otherwise involved in a huge variety of projects--from radio ads for local charities, to behind-the-scenes work on some very famous musical artists (from lots of different genres), to television ads for car dealerships and grocery stores, to audiobooks, to ADR, to vehicle navigation system voice prompts, and tons of other stuff...while I can't say I've seen it all, I can definitely say I've seen more than many other engineers--and I can bring that wide-ranging experience to your project as well.
