Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I like both.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: my ears, my Universal Audio LA-610 Mk II, Protools, a good microphone, my Genelec monitor speakers
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started my first music projects 15 years ago and since 8 years I run a commercial recording studio in Berlin with full service for producing, recording, mixing and mastering.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't record your tracks too clean and try to fix it later during mixing. Decide what kind of sound you are looking for and try to get as close as possible
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rap, Pop, Rock, Electronic, Singer / Songwriter
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Mixing
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I have a great sense for arrangements, so if I have a great idea for the song I might let you know ;)
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I prepare the session with the files provided by the client, make a mix, send it to the client. After that I do usually 2 or 3 revisions for the client.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I mix mostly in Pro Tools 12 with plugins from Universal Audio, Waves, Plugin Alliance but I have also some outboard analog gear which I sometimes use for a hybrid mixing setup.
