Hey, I’m Josiah Austin- a producer/mixer/songwriter working just outside Portland, Oregon in the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. I primarily work with artists who create indie pop, pop-rock, and art pop. I get pretty picky with artists who create music far outside of those realms, but you can still ask. The worst I can say is no!
Josiah began his journey in music at the age of 5 when he took up piano lessons. He fell in love with it and has been playing ever since. Piano led to original compositions, to songwriting, then to production and mixing.
In 2008, while earning his bachelor’s degree in music education, he began writing original scores for student films, and helped produce small music projects for friends. That’s when his passion for music production and mixing really began- and he has since continued to hone his skills, writing music for commercials and short films, producing music for artists like Lilli & Charles, Crustacean Joel, and others.
With 12 years of experience in production and mixing, 20 years experience in music composition, and 14 years experience songwriting, Josiah is ready to help you craft your next song into the hit you hear in your head.
