Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: In order to really understand the results expected by the client, I always ask for references.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mainly adult pop-oriented singers or bands.

A: My ability to understand and translate my client's vision into my work.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mostly do music and post mixing work (stereo and 5.1 surround). I also get a lot of vocal editing work (tuning, editing, de-noising...)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been professionally recording, mixing and mastering music and post for close to 20 years. I also teach mixing at Musitechnic in Montreal.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Like a lot of us I made the move to mixing and mastering totally in the box. It allows me to work quickly and efficiently with the ability to do "recalls" on the fly. I work on a Pro Tools HD rig with Avid Series controllers and a Softube Console1. I monitor on Focal Twin 6be speakers. For surround work I monitor on a Blue Sky 5.1 mediadesk MKII kit. I only use the highest quality plugins from Izotope, Brainworx, DMG, Fabfilter, Audiofile, Waves and Softube.
