bass guitar recording

I've played bass on recordings for John Mayer, Shawn Mullins, Lindsay Ell, Peter Frampton, Ben Rector, Sara Evans, Howard Tate, Marie Osmond, Jewel, Lee Roy Parnell, Kelly Clarkson and many other artist. I played bass on two John Mayer concert DVDs; Any Given Thursday and Where the Light Is.

I grew up playing bass in and around New Orleans until graduating from high school. I then moved to Athens, GA. Atlanta, Ga. and have resided in Nashville since 2006.

As a session bass player, I play many genres of music on a regular basis, have a deep pocket and create bass lines naturally and quickly.

I welcome as much or as little direction as you'd like to give.

I've done a lot of duo playing in which there are no drums or percussion. I enjoy playing with singer songwriters whose recordings are mostly just the artist singing and accompanying themselves on acoustic / electric guitar or piano / keyboards. Playing bass in this kind of circumstance gives me the opportunity to make a big impact on the recording with just a little movement and melody in the right spots.

I enjoy working with independent DIY artist as well as established artist and producers.
