Very creative, intuitive musician that enjoys creating great music. As a singer/songwriter myself, I believe that musical hooks in songs add to the overall HOOK of the song. Too many times I hear notes but I don't hear the passion behind the notes or they don't fit the mood of the song. I enjoy taking the time needed to find the magic.
It's all about the song... Final answer... Having a competent side guy that understands his role is vitally important in the studio or on the road. I play for the artist and the song, no ego here. Making music is a passion of mine and I take it seriously.
I have a home studio where I achieve great results no matter what the genre or type of sound you want to achieve. Typically I will provide 3 passes of a somewhat dry signal, then 3 additional tracks with flavor that I think matches the song and production.
