I am a classically trained versatile cellist with 35 years of performing experience skilled in solo, chamber and orchestral setting. As a leader of the Rastrelli Cello Quartet, I have performed in more than 50 countries, recorded 11 albums. My professional skills allow me recording cello tracks and improvising solos of any difficulty & music genre.
I am proud to be the winner of various international cello competitions and contests in Spain, South Africa, Italy, Germany and Austria. As a soloist I performed in the Berlin Philharmonic, Alte Oper Frankfurt, the Tonhalle Zurich, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Laiszhalle Hamburg, the Stefaniensaal Graz, the Mozarteum Salzburg, the Grand Park in Chicago, the Taegue Philharmonic in South Korea and others. It has been a great honor and pleasure in my performing career to have a long-standing partnership with such artists Gidon Kremer, Krzysztof Penderecki, Gilles Apap, Giora Feidman and David Geringas. I enjoyed recordings for Marc Almond, King’s Singers and many Russian pop musicians. The list of my radio and television appearances includes productions for NBC, BR, SWR, HR, NDR and NHK. For a period of 7 years I worked as the principal cellist of the Wuerttemberg Chamber Orchestra in Germany. My main passion, however, is to perform and lead the Rastrelli Cello Quartet – a unique group of talented and passionate musicians sharing their music and producing the amazing sound that only a few have achieved, one of the world most famous cello quartets with huge range of repertoire and sound colors.
