Kabin 7 Studios on SoundBetter

I'm an Audio Engineer with 7 years experience in the field! I strive to make every project sound better than the last, and I think your music deserves that type of attention.

I've spent most of my growing up as a multi-instrument musician, so I have been surrounded with music my whole life. For the past 7 years, I've been working hard to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to achieve that high quality, professional sound that you hear coming out of all the big studios. I am super confident in how far I've come in a short period of time, and I am very motivated to continue learning and moving up in my industry.

I am most practiced in the mixing and mastering of hip-hop, r&b, reggaeton, and pop. I'm also well experienced in the production of those genres too.

I can provide professional service for any recording, mixing & mastering needs!

I look forward to working on your project with you!

Working with Kabin 7 Studios has been really great. The amazing quality of their production, mixing and mastering can be easily detected just by listening to a track for the first time, let alone if you actually dive in to the details of the whole process. And it’s done at an incredibly affordable price and it’s definitely worth it if you’re trying to get your track to sound as professional as the top musicians out right now.

Working with Kabin 7 was a great experience. In addition to being both professional and timely he went above and beyond to give me some useful advice that helped me develop my personal sound. I'm confident he will go above and beyond your expectations.

If you want to record good quality music at an affordable price, this is the place to go. Everything is very professional, from the recording, to the mix and mastering. The producer is really polite and will give exactly what you want. There's no studio I'd rather go to.

Interview with Kabin 7 Studios

  1. Q: How would you describe your style?

  2. A: When mixing I like to achieve a clean, full, natural sound. I like to use as many real (software) instruments as possible when producing because I don't think there is a better replacement for the organic tones of real instruments.

  3. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  4. A: I'm mostly working on underground rap, r&b and hip hop tracks.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Both! I'm grateful that when I was first starting it didn't take tens of thousands of dollars to get that warm analog tone into my projects, I could just buy some sweet plugins online. Nothing beats dialing in all the settings on a nice piece of analog hardware though, and the sound is hard to beat too!

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: The satisfying process of taking a track from raw recordings to a freshly polished mix.

  9. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  10. A: The time that it takes to figure out how to produce and mix like the industry pros do.

  11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  12. A: I was a musician growing up, mainly a drummer. There's a certain "feel" that is put into music when a band plays a song. It took me a while to figure out what that missing piece was when I started producing, and when I figured out that it was missing the "feel" I was used to from a real band, I immediately figured out how to implement that into my productions on a computer, and that changed the way I approached producing. Best part is that I can implement that into any genre or style of work.

  13. Q: What's your typical work process?

  14. A: When mixing, I like to start by cleaning everything up with subtractive eq first, then move to compressing, more eq, and other effects to shape the sound. Usually last, I'll add the ambiance like reverb, delay, and other "ear candy" effects.

  15. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  16. A: I am largely inspired by Mike Dean, Producer/Engineer for Travis Scott and many others. Love his mixing and mastering as well as his work as a producer. I also look up to Noah "40" Shebib, Producer/Engineer for Drake and others under OVO. His studio is unreal, acoustics and equipment wise. I also have a couple Producer/Engineer mentors who've worked among the likes of The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Celine Dion and many others, who have provided a lot of guidance and inspiration for my career.

  17. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  18. A: The most common type of work I do is recording, mixing and mastering.
