DXRK HXZE Music Production

A sound surrounded with darkness and haziness - defined by the name itself.
With a variety of styles and inspirations, it is the only common denominator found in my productions.

The music You hear reflect my eternal passion and love for music in general. Even though I base on hip hop, trap, r&b, oftentimes I spice things up and experiment.

Dive into the darkness...

All of the instrumentals are available, moreover if any of the productions suits Your style - let's collab! My service comes in a complete artist bundle: music production, graphic design, video editing, songwriting, and more.

Interview with DXRK HXZE

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My idea, when I started off, was to not only make beats but to create a story using the instrumentals. That's how the Black Sentinel Playlist was created. Even though those are still beats/instrumentals, they are handled really carefully and thoughtfully.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I am creating music.

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: I am restless. I we're to create something, I'm gonna give my 138%, because that's what my work ethic is about.

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: I just love music. Like, literally sometimes I just be searching for some sounds I can built off and I hear something and then the ideas and inspirations comes like tsunami - that's amazing feeling.

  9. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  10. A: I am not only a beatmaker - I am a producer. Besides producing I do also many other different things. I stand out with some major graphic design skills, as well as some video editing and that comes in bundle with my service. Artwork? Done. Simple music video? Done. Logo? Bet.

  11. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  12. A: Before creating music - what do they feel like, what do they see, are there some images, some feelings, some stories, some colors, some inspirations, some songs, anything. You can tell me "red color" and that's already something we can build off.

  13. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  14. A: If You feel like we're similar in our path or in our approach to music and the world, then we should definitely connect and create something amazing. I actually don't care that much about money when it comes to music. I just really enjoy doing it.

  15. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  16. A: Before I started making my own music, I was literally studying hip hop. Listening to music was my major hobby and I was learning many things, reading about it, like literally studying. At some point I thought, well, I could do it on my own. I was kind of always more interested in the production side, always more hyped about the producers on the track rather than artists and features, etc.

  17. Q: How would you describe your style?

  18. A: Just like my name DXRK HXZE - meaning dxrk and hxzy.

  19. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  20. A: I would love to work with some up-and-coming musicians - just like me. With a proper group of producers, artists, we could shake some things up in the industry. Real started from the bottom.

  21. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  22. A: That's gonna be odd - but when You create music, try to make some really quick breaks - like 2, 3 minutes - get a tea or water. Get back and listen again to that track and it's gonna sound completely different - Your ears will be unbiased by a long time spent on that piece of music and You will approach it more critically.

  23. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  24. A: I major in Hip Hop/Rap and R&B, but I enjoy diving into other genres, as well - especially electronic music, like House.

  25. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  26. A: When it comes to the production process, besides music creation of course - I am ultra-communicative and peaceful. I believe working with me is quite enjoyable process. I am also extremely hard-working and restless when it comes to working on a particular thing.

  27. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  28. A: I think the most important thing - a vibe, a particular mood. My inspiration, knowledge - I am a huge music nerd. Before I started making my own music I spent literally days listening to music, reading about music, etc.

  29. Q: What's your typical work process?

  30. A: I don't occur difficulties when it comes to my creativity or inspiration. It comes very easy and very naturally - either a melody in my head, maybe some particular mood or vibe, even a geographical region, color, scents, materials, other music of course. I feel like my inspiration is endless and can come from pretty much anything.

  31. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  32. A: I started off with only laptop and earbuds. I am steadily developing myself and my studio each and every day. Currently I am in possession of the ultimate FL Studio software, Arturia MIDI, Native Instruments audio interface, Beyerdynamics studio headphones, as well as Marshall speaker.

  33. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  34. A: My pantheon of producers consists of (no order): Hit-Boy, Mike Will Made-It, Boi-1da, Metro Boomin, 808 Mafia and Kanye West.

  35. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  36. A: Music production, beatmaking, songwriting, graphic design, video editing, promotion.
