I have 6 years of mixing experience, along with a bachelor’s degree from Full Sail University. I am a singer / rapper, as well as a musician (4 instruments), so my music knowledge ranges widely across many different genres and styles. Look forward to working with you!

Interview with Yarray
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is very dynamic and also fluent. My style is simply good music. I can sing on a ballad, or rap to a trap beat (and create/play the instrumental myself) depending on how I feel as i'm creating.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: If given the chance i'd love to work with H.E.R. Simply because I respect her as both an artist and a musician (she plays guitar), her songs are always deep and very well written. Furthermore, she has an amazing BIG voice that is soothing all at the same time.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: When setting up a session, it is a good idea to tempo map the instrumental to ensure that both the instrumental and the session match. Otherwise, your delays and other time based effects will all be off.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: RnB is my personal favorite, however I find myself doing more Trap work for clients.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I believe my strongest skill is currently piano.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring years of experience and music knowledge to any project. I think that being able to relate and understand as both an artist/musician, as well as an engineer is key to being effective at any stage of the creating process.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Typically, I start with making the instrumental. Some clients already have instrumentals, so we would begin with the recording process. If the client is recording at my studio, I prefer to do light mixing and cleaning up of the vocals as we go along (this helps to ensure that the client will be happy with some of the mixing decisions early in the process). Once the recording process is complete, I usually rest my ears for a day (or a few hours) to ensure that I have a fresh set of ears to begin and complete the mixing process.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have Pro Tools 12, along with Waves plugins, Autotune, Autotune EFX, Melodyne editor, VocalAlign, and other plugins. My outboard gear consists of a 500 series rack with an SSL Compressor, SSL Preamp, Neve Preamp, API Preamp, Focusrite Red Preamp, Neumann tlm 103, MXL tube condenser microphone.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: The sound engineer that inspires me the most is Leslie Brathwaite. Other musicians that inspire me include, but are not limited to, Bob Marley, H.E.R, Tank, Pink Sweat, Lil Baby, Lil Boosie
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common work that i've done lately for clients has been re-making instrumentals. I specialize in re-creating your favorite instrumental (a popular song from an artist you may like) for you to create your next hit record.
