Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: If you need a female singer with a lot of quality search for "Monique Mathis". She was the female singer on our track Better Than That.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: 3C-style! Communicative, collaborative, creative
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: The Chainsmokers! These guys rock in terms of songwriting and lyrics!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Just work with the best guys you can find!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: These days we are into Pop and Dance (EDM) music - always focusing on the vocals which are the most important thing to make a song a hit!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: We think that we have great ears for hits. With our 10+ years of experience we analyze what works and what not and trust our guts.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First of all our communication is lightning fast. We want to really give the customer the feeling that we care about his project! That is what we do! The process: It depends on the stage we were asked to come in. For our own projects we write songs from scratch (melody, lyrics) and then produce and mix/master it. We are very open for collabs too.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: We really like to work with Logic Pro X. We record in the Fosbury Music studio because of the perfect acoustics. Our go-to mic is the Neumann TLM 107 that goes through a Neve 1073 and the genius Universal Audio Apollo Quad and all the fancy plugins and synths you know.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: We listen to a lot of music (of course) ;-) but really dig the sounds of The Chainsmokers, Marshmello and NOTD. Nonetheless we are influenced by music from others too, like some great alt rock bands.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: We love to be creative with your ideas and produce top standard EDM and Pop songs that have an unique touch so it jumps out of the masses but stay within the frames of Pop radio stations and Spotify playlisters.
