Father, Husband, fan of Jesus. Vocal producer, song designer are just titles. I'm just here to work for you. I want to help you make something beautiful.
My name is Angelo Iossa, I'm a singer-songwriter from Naples, Italy. I’m a signed recording artist with Aftertouch Music, and I've been a songwriter for a while now... But my mission is in artist development.
In Naples, and remotely, I take care of young artists projects with everything concerning the vocal perspective: I vocal-coach them pre and during the recording session, also I help them as a pronunciation and translation assistant for English, Spanish, Italian (and Neapolitan)… My services also include top-line and lyric writing, vocal editing, tuning, vocal arrangements, backing vocals and postproduction.
Last but not least, in my church we have a group of contemporary christian music, for which I’m one of the authors and the producer (I'm moving my very first steps as an arranger, but God helps out a lot): I also love working with kids, teaching basic music knowledge and singing technique.
I want to put my skills to use into this awesome music marketplace, for projects that might be looking for development of song, vocal, and performance. It might be simply top-line and lyrics, backing vocals or just a lesson/session with the artist.
I prefer clean content with good values and I'm not looking for people who want to make a hit song at all costs. But I'm happy if I can be of service to you to craft a beautiful work of art.
Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

Iossa is a true artist and a super professional Provider!
I have written with Angelo many times in team writing sessions and it is always a pleasure and an education. Musically, he is an incredible vocalist, a knowledgable & versatile musician & an amazing writer and producer. What sets him apart from other highly qualified or classically trained musicians that I have worked with is that Angelo is humble, very generous with his talents and I have witnessed his ability to be very in-tune with those that he is working with, regardless of their 'technical' training or skill level. Top Class Musician, Top Class Human!
I met Angelo one year ago. I was a streetperformer, self-taught, who knew little of the music world out of my bubble. In this year I've learned a lot about me, about what I wanna do and the place that music has in my life. I've learned that music is communication, collaboration.
I learned that music is chance. Sometimes arrives when you don't expect it. And Angelo came a little by accident.
Needless to say, I am grateful for all the work he has done with me and continues to do, supporting and spurring me every time.
Angelo is a rare and uniquely gifted singer, songwriter, arranger and producer . His instincts are always in the right direction. It’s an honor to know him, call him friend and to work with him. If you ever get an opportunity to work with him, your music will change for the better
I had such a great time with Angelo
We worked on some tracks together and we had a lot of fun, it has been a great moment for personal and artistic growth.
As a vocal coach, he gave me so many useful advice that I always keep in my mind and always help me to feel ok and use my voice the right way.
I've had the occasion of working with Angelo a few times, and I can honestly say that he's seriously a great singer, song-writer, teacher and human being.
When I had the pleasure of meeting him I was immediately touched by his great professionalism, humanity and massive humility (which is totally rare to find nowadays in artists).
What I can say is that he is someone that sees your true potentials and can help you achieve your goals, plus, the first second you meet him you already end up seeing the great love for music and for his job that he has.
Angelo is the best singer-songwriter I've ever collaborated with.
It was a big pleasure for me recording acoustic percussive fingerstyle guitars for his awesome EP "Unplugged Live".
What a great experience.
After that, a great friendship started and we had a lot of fun together recording some cool covers as well.
I wish you a great career on SoundBetter.
Highly recommended, a great singer with awesome songwriting/production skills.

If you want to add a professional touch to your track with Angelo's amazing vocal music abilities and production talent you are in great hands and will end up with an amazing project. I certainly will be working with Angelo again.
I think Angelo is one of the best vocal coach: he is patient and friendly .
He always knows how to teach and how TO make me understand.
He helped me not only grow vocally but Also spiritually . I’ll always be grateful for everything he’s done for me
Great singer-songwriter! Angelo had done miracles working on some of my vocal tracks! He’s a real genius and will make your songs way better!
working with Angelo is extraordinary. He is a very prepared vocal trainer. puts customers at ease and motivates them. it manages to be efficient even in choral arrangements and interpretations of the texts. it really is a valuable aid.
I have worked with Angelo several times and he never disappoints. Super professional, easy going guy and great to collaborate with. He is one of the few that delivers seperate tracks with top notch sounding acapellas and extra ad libs and additions.
Angelo is one of the best singer-songwriters I have worked with, his vision for music is very broad and can also help with production. his professionalism is undeniable, he is someone who will always seek perfection. If you have a serious project and the ambition to reach another level Angelo is the person for you.
I have seen Angelo growing in his music through his journey in the Catholic church. I've seen him growing in his Faith which helped him communicating positive messages to youth people. I had the pleasure to to speak with him about several possible collaboration and I believe in his strong possibilities in becoming everyday a stronger Artist, in order to reach many people worldwide.
Interview with Angelo Iossa
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on three indie Italian projects as a vocal producer, one is international acoustic rock, one is Italian pop, one is in Neapolitan contemporary pop. And I'm about to start a new one, Irish indie pop. Finishing new songs and hymns for my church group..... the remaining 95% of my time, I'm working as a dad. 😅
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I've heard processed vocals with analog gear sounding much worse than digitally processed, because of a wrong setup. So it depends on who's managing the hardware. Personally, I work in the box.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise you I'm not perfect. I'm surely not the best there is. But when I commit I care about who I'm working with.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: It's always rewarding
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A Bible, a piano or a guitar, a couple of notebooks and a pen
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I value a good melody, soundtrack-like harmonies, and in the interpretation maybe too much attention on the rhythmic side. I like to rhyme too... and I usually arrange vocal parts to become a fully self-sustained section in the production.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: My dream job would be to work with Gary Barlow and Take That... and make songs for Disney movies with them!
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: "Cantàmmo a Gesù!" is a catholic music project with the kids of my church and I loved to be one of the authors and producers of it.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Emilio Lanza, top acoustic guitar player. Absolute genius.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: A lot of producers tend to get stuck to what they fell in love instinctively, usually the first demo.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception about vocals is that it's just like any instrument. And another is that raw vocals are better than processed.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is the goal of your project
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be patient and trust the natural work process
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: In the entertainment industry for about 15 years. Music recording and songwriting industry for the past 7 years.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Articulate words when you sing, make space when you produce, and when you write treat your song like a puzzle where the pieces have always been in your heart and head already.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I started with electronic dance music, so I did a lot of electronic productions, but now I'm working more on melodic pop. Lately I wrote and produced a lot of contemporary christian and worship music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: When crafting a vocal, I tend to notice production details that many producers don't pay attention to.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I like to think I bring an accurate "delivery" of the story and, given my musical tastes, an overall brightness and "pop-ness" to it.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When I write and record my own vocal on an instrumental track, I take about a couple of days to do research (and prayer) for inspiration, then I "get into character" and write, usually recording a lead vocal in the same day. Then, after the demo is approved I spend a few days crafting the sound, and perfecting the interpretation. When I work behind other singers, we have 2-3 preparatory session for each 4-5 songs to record. I first tend to give an input to the lyric writing process, and then we mold the performance, taking away all the interpretation and technique flaws. In the recording session with the artist I usually draw more from the emotional side, but it's also good to experiment tips to make "that" note or phrase sound better. I prefer do the editing and the recording on the same day, so that I don't have to call the singer back, who might be in another mood or vocal condition.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Four general types of work: song writing, vocal performance, recording coach and vocal production. Usually combined together.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Everything that I personally create, record and produce is on Logic Pro X. I move a lot to different studios, so my basic setup is always with me: Macbook pro, Focusrite Saffire pro 24, my beloved Neumann TLM 103 treated with a Kaotica Eyeball. Every processing is in-the-box. When I assist in another studio, I tend to adapt to the setup I find: I've worked with producers using Live, Cubase and ProTools but I am more comfortable with Logic Pro X and my sets of plugins. In my room I have a pair of good old KRK rokit 5, otherwise I use a pair of AKG K550 MKII Headphones.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Watching old school producers and arrangers work can hypnotise me. I always work best alongside a good musician producer.
