Mixing, Producing, Recording

I specialize in remote mixing, producing, and recording, especially pop, pop-funk, singer-songwriter, and R&B. Having engineered in the studio that produced hits like “Uptown Funk,” “Gravity,” and every Al Green song, as well as working in several local and studios, I have extensive experience mixing, producing, and recording mainstream music.

For mixing, I prefer to receive each track individually (kick, snare, synth 2, guitar, each vocal part, etc) as this will allow me to process each part individually, and will let me run various elements through some outboard also gear, such as API preamps, Universal Audio compressors, and Pultec EQ’s.If you only have a 2-track and vocal layers, I can mix that as well, no problem. I mix in Pro Tools, using mainly UAD, Slate Digital, SoundToys, Plugin Alliance, and Waves plug-ins. I also work extensively in Auto-Tune Pro, so if you want your voice professionally tuned, I can do that!
With regards to production, I specialize in pop (all types). The majority of my production resume revolves around pop production, vocal production, funk/future pop, and R&B pop. When producing a song, I prefer to have the vocal top line (melody/lyrics) and a piano/guitar track for your chord ideas. Then I produce underneath that track. I will send it back and forth with you until we reach something we’re both happy with!
I also play drums and piano, and I’m very skilled with synth and organ manipulation. I do not play guitar, bass, or brass/string instruments, but I have access to many fabulous local musicians who do. For virtual instruments, I use synths from Arturia, Serum, and Ana 2, drum samples from Splice and That Sound, strings and brass from EastWest, and guitars and bass from Ample Sound.
