Specializing in live sound, live recording, and mixing/mastering, Matt Vice will get the sound you want in any environment. Having worked over a decade of live music events, Vice has mixed numerous styles of music. Like most things from the midwest, you can expect a great product without the cosmopolitan prices.
I am an audio engineer equally comfortable in front of a DAW or running a live show. Early on my career involved recording live bands at local clubs and venues while simultaneously running FOH or monitors, providing me ample diversity in musical styles and arrangements. Live recordings often turned into post-production work, keeping me busy mixing and mastering when not out on a gig.
I started my career in the recording studio, and in 2007 was accepted to Audio Recording Engineer Practicum at The Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada. I have since earned a master's degree in Music Technology from IUPUI and am currently enrolled in their Music Technology PhD program. I teach as adjunct faculty for Ball State University and IUPUI when not working live events (music, TV, corporate) or mixing albums.
