Danielle Thwaites is a junior at Berklee College of Music with a double major in Electronic Production & Design and Contemporary Writing & Production. She is the musical director, songwriter, rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist in the Boston-based band, Danoota. She also works for the Berklee Internet Radio Network (BIRN) as the head videographer.
At the young age of 17, Danielle Thwaites was first accepted to Berklee College of Music. During her first semester she was hired by the Berklee Internet Radio Network (BIRN), and quickly moved into the role as head videographer, engineer and trainer. Each week interviewing, recording and producing bands that came to the BIRN to perform, such as Emily King and Andra Day which has enabled her to record, edit and produce videos for dozens of classmates outside of the BIRN that have received thousands of hits and reviews. Originally accepted to Berklee on the Singer/Songwriter track, she decided to add the major of Contemporary Production and Design, and later adding Electronic Production and Design, while still writing songs for her band, Danoota along with other co-produced groups.
She has taken on two internships simultaneously. The first at CyberSound Studios in Boston as an assistant to the head engineer. She also interned at Allston Pudding, a music blog dedicated to Boston’s music scene where she still interns and is one of the video editors.
In the past year, she has logged over 250 studio hours, produced and recorded numerous tracks for her band and solo music, filmed and edited over 125 live music videos, and even was invited as a backup performer for her favorite performer Rivers Cuomo with Weezer.
