KingzOf is your 1 stop shop to compete in today's music industry. We offer production, song writing, mixing, remixing and mastering. We are hip to the trends & sounds of the industry and this is what we deliver to our Clients. We were recently highlighted on Sway in the morning as feature producers and have also worked with industry Exec. No I.D.

In 2011 Gill (Skattamann) Carpenter & Lorenzo (Zomane) Garth teamed up & created a production company, what is known today as KingzOf. We have worked with many artists. From actor, Rick Gonzalez (The Cw Arrow), Lucci Vee (Bad Girls Club), GLC (Kanye West’s GoGetters), KingzOf very own Akonixx, & MANY more. With a artist network number of over 600k on instagram alone, KingzOf has a certain type of heartbeat in Chicago, and now inserting the "KingzOf" sound into the music industry. We have Co-produced with industry Executive Dion No I.D Wilson & The Sick-One ( Artium Records ) on GLC’s project with features from Wiz Khalifa, Raekwon, Bj The Chicago Kid, & more.

With a strong belief in the term “VIBE”, KingzOf is not just known for their special style of beats, but an overall process of creating quality records. What they offer for artists of all genres is quality engineering, music production, and artist development.

In the past year we have been working behind the scenes with signing and developing talent. Since doing so, we have acquired music distribution through Empire, Awal, & Equity (Roc Nations independent distro company).

Interview with Zomane

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: A project that i worked on that i am extremely proud of is GLC's up and coming Album. It has features from Wiz Khalifa, Bj the chicago kid, Raekwon, and Tyre Hakim. Not only do we have some amazing features, its executive produced by No I.D, and co-production from him as well. I have production on every song and i am the mix engineer for this project as well. It is to be released through AWAL sometime this fall.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm currently working with a company that No I.D is backing called Twelve majors. They have a PHENOMENAL artist by the name of Tyre Hakim that we are working at the moment. Tyre is next up!

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: No i haven't searched the database to look at the members of Soundbetter Yet.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Analog. It just sounds THAT much better than ITB. There are a lot of great plugins that emulate that analog sound. BUT there is nothing like the sound of audio coming through analog equipment. Which is why i've invested into a hybrid setup and use both.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: My promise to my clients is to always give my 100% effort to take their sound to where it needs to be to complete a record. This requires a certain level of trust from the client and over the years i have learned to gain and RESPECT that level of trust as a mixing engineer and producer.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: I LOVE the middle part of mixing a record, It's right after i've done everything in my dedicated work flow to achieve a certain sound. I allow the vibe to take over and manifest a unique sound that i had no intention of making, its the best part of finalizing a record. I enjoy it every single time and it allows me to have fun while working.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: " What's your turn around time? " 48-72 hours " How many revisions do you give? " 3 revisions, More can be negotiated if need be. " Can you make me sound like a certain artist?" No, I can not make you sound like a particular artist, But i can bring those elements into your world as a unique artist.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: I feel the biggest misconception about what i do is that every mix is the same, but that is absolutely false. Every mix is different and unique. And every mix also requires a different vibe to complete it.
