I'm a session musician for hire with over a decade of experience playing instruments and mixing hip hop. I'm a Multi-Instrumentalist, specializing in Guitar, Bass, keys, drum programming, and synth programming (and synth Bass) . Need a unique sound or an era replicated? I record all instruments from scratch, using high quality interfaces and mixing techniques. My sound is deep and vast and filled with nostalgia.   1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: The Project I'm currently working. I treat every mix the same, with love and care, and consideration to what the client wants. All the songs I've written, and or mixed are equally my favorites.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm currently making music for sync licensing libraries and Producing Rappers, and singers.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Both. I use outboard and "in the box" mixing techniques to make my finished product. What ever it takes to make things sound the way I want them to.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: High Quality composition, organic mixing, and honest art.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: I get to create music everyday. Its my true passion in life, and I've worked hard to be able to animate whats in my head musically.

  11. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  12. A: What kind of vibe are you looking for? What kind of emotion are you trying to capture? Is there a particular era of music you're trying to replicate. Do you have a story board? What instrumentation are you looking for, and what kind of nostalgic elements are you trying to convey.

  13. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  14. A: If your looking for a "yes man" I'm not your guy. If you're looking for some one to be blunt and honest, hire me. I'll give you my honest un-filtered opinion. I'm only looking to make the best art possible.

  15. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  16. A: My computer.

  17. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  18. A: I've been a live musician for 12 years, 10 years as a session musician, 6 years as a beatmaker, and I've producing for 3 years.

  19. Q: How would you describe your style?

  20. A: My style is chill, funky, and organic. I create a mood depending on how I'm feeling or what the artist is feeling.

  21. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  22. A: Visualize your mix using a spectrum analyzer! It wil better help you visualize the ascetics of your music so you can balance elements and see anything that might be too loud.

  23. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  24. A: I make primarily Hip Hop & Lo Fidelity music.

  25. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  26. A: I'm a session Guitar and Bass Player First.

  27. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  28. A: I can Produce an artist, coach them to better the material, program drums, play guitar, piano, everything to make a song into a finished product.

  29. Q: What's your typical work process?

  30. A: I normally start with drums, or percussion & build the song from there. I track all the instruments myself one at a time until I have the right ingredients to continue thru completion. The feeling the artist is trying to get across determines the outcome of the songs vibe and texture. I can do minimalist production or more complicated (ghost notes) depending on what's required.
