Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My release with Egzod! Another songwriter (Annika Bos) and I made a song called Remedy and I loved it so much!!! Egzod collaborated with us and the release was my first big song!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: This year is the year I am trying to release as much music as possible and collaborate with as many people as I can. I have a 300-song goal this year (to write). And I want to reach my first million streams on Spotify.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes, he is a male vocalist by the name of 'Rory Hope'. Hes amazing and inspired me to start my own sound better, I recommend him. Hes so professional and such a beautiful voice.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To always give my whole heart in every performance, I won't be able to deliver anything if I am not proud of it. I can promise you that If I work on it and send it to you, It's because I love it. My whole heart or nothing :)
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love the process of seeing something from start to finish. Knowing that you made that, still blows my mind. Seeing the development of a song, and of course, the finished product makes you feel so proud. I still don't know how I made a song after it's done, It just happens.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I would say be very clear on what you want, the more specific the better! And don't be afraid to give critical feedback, I'm tough - I can take it ;)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I want to be a singer/songwriter doing a mixture of gigs, songwriting for myself/others and singing every chance I get. I've been doing this professionally for three years and most of my life I grew up around music.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Cute, sweet and melodic. A mixture of electronic and pop but with sweet melodies.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd love to work with Said The Sky because his music really inspires me and got me through a tough time in my life. It means a lot when I listen to his music.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Contrast and dynamics ;)
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on pop and EDM genres. I really love melodic bass and drum and bass (anything with a bass haha). I feel like I work best with songs that compliment a soft and warm voice.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Probably Melodies, I love finding unpredictable melodies and catchy ear hooks that get stuck in your head for years on end. hahaha
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: The bassline or the vocal melody, or if I attach a memory to it!!!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I open up my DAW (I have a saved vocal template I created) and I record the lead, then two doubles. If the song needs it or it was requested by a client, I will record harmonies and adlibs. I will then edit the vocals unless raw stems are requested. Usually, I don't process my vocals but I am in the process of learning.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a simple set-up, an Aston Origin Condenser microphone and a Scarlett interface.
