Interview with Albendin
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would very much like to work with KSHMR because of what I have mentioned before, it brings very organic and fresh sounds to electronic music and that is a very important added value for me.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: For some years I was working with an urban music singer, which allowed me to correctly learn the role of producer for singers. Currently I work independently for all kinds of artists (singers, deejays, amateur producers, etc ...)
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Freshness, professionalism, originality and above all that it has something characteristic that makes it seem unique.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: David Guetta has been my first inspiration in the industry. Currently I am guided by the details of the music that KSHMR or Alan Walker produces since I think it is music with a background and feeling.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Transform the ideas that my clients have in their heads into something real and professional. Advising on some decisions.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly I work with Dance Music, Pop, EDM, Tropical House and some beat with urban sounds of Reggaeton.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Find a specific sound and make it sound professional and unique.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First I contact the client and I try to understand 100% what their idea is and where it comes from to get the most out of it. When I have the project at 75%, I send the idea to see if we are on the right track. Finally, some revisions are made and the final version is delivered mixed and mastered. I have always used this method and it generally works quite well for me, clients are very satisfied.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I like to produce with characteristic and forceful sounds but as long as they are pleasant to the ear, since that guarantees that listeners can listen to your songs in any situation (in the car, in the shower, at a festival, etc ...)
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: First, look for a good idea without focusing so much on how good it sounds and then turn it professional.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Currently I work in my Home Studio with high quality and reliable monitors such as the Adam A7X combined with the MOTU M2 audio card. They offer me a very flat and real sound, I don't need to go to the car to listen if the mix was good. In addition, I have the Sennheiser HD-600 and a NEVE amplifier to have a second reference and also work at night.
