Professionally raised in NYC's top studios, with some of the top mastering engineers on the planet. Winner of one of the only two Fulbright Grants in the Arts in 2023. BerkleeNYC '24 grad. Projects I worked on in different capacities are featured on The New York Times, Sony Music and Billboard. I work with tens of artists across all continents.
My specialty is keeping your mix intact while also adding a memorable signature.
The mastering engineer's great responsibility is to respect and preserve all the hard work that was done from the recording to the mix.
Think about the drummer you hired or the sample pack you bought for that snare sound, and the money you spent for the mix engineer to polish it and give it character. The last thing you want is the mastering guy to instantly kill it. And this goes for every sound in your track.
If you don't want to take that chance, you can book my mastering service with a 1-5 business day turnaround!
My rates:
• $150 for a single
• $100/song for a 4-6 track EP
• $95/song for a 7+ track LP
Extra:
• $75 rush fee per song for after hours (after 6pm of my local time) and weekend work
• $75 for each alt
• DDP starting at $200, plus paid QC time depending on album length

Interview with Leonardo Cococcia
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Definitely my mastering mentors at TMP: Kevin Peterson, Dave Kutch, Tatsuya Sato, Mark Santangelo. But also other OGs like Tom Coyne, Ted Jensen, Randy Merryl, Scott Hull, Colin Leonard, and some new Abbey Road people like Stefan Brown.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will do everything I possibly can to preserve your original vision while also making things loud.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Remember when everyone was saying that mastering would be the first to go with AI? Now I see people coming to the studio asking a real person to master songs written, produced, performed and mixed by Suno.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: If you need a master, make sure you hire a real mastering engineer. Of all the audio professions, this is probably the most specific one and it requires a lot of focus when learning it in my experience.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A MacBook Pro, a chair, a Left AirPod Pro, a Right AirPod Pro, an AirPods Pro case.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Tiny moves!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work mostly in the box in different third party spaces with top-notch acoustics and monitoring systems. I mainly use 2.1 ATCs & Focals with Lawry / Dangerous converters or HDIO. I switch between Sequoia / Samplitude and Pro Tools. I occasionally run tracks through a Neve 33609, Pultecs or a SSL 4kG comp if helpful.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Although my creative background is as a guitarist, I am experienced in all disciplines of audio engineering. Mastering is my greatest passion and that's what I intensively focus on. Most of my recent credits are masters, as seen on muso.ai and other platforms.
