I'm a young and daring producer and saxophonist. I don't really follow traditional guidelines when mixing, producing, or improvising, but this makes for a fresh and convincing perspective with anyone's music.
The funny thing is that I got a degree in biomedical engineering before realizing the necessity to commit myself to the arts. I'm one of those "the music finds you if it *needs* to find you" kind of artists. I'm 100% passion with a lot of work yet to do in production and technical development.
However, this means I can offer work at a lower price, and moreover living in El Salvador is pretty cheap, so I don't have the economic pressure that many have living in a bigger city in the U.S. or elsewhere. Everything I have learned about producing or mixing has been self-taught and informally taught by friends and mentors. I also almost majored in classical saxophone performance, but ended up leaving that and then coming back to music a few years later as an improviser and composer, always based in a pure yearning to simply express deep human emotion.
I still have a lot to learn, but I approach music with a fresh, new perspective, whether adding sax lines to a track, filling out a song with interesting synth / bass lines or beats, mixing, or mastering anyone's work.
