I've accumulated over half a million streams and thousands of dollars from TV sync placements with my mixes & masters. I'd love to help you do the exact same.
My public persona displays me as being just an artist, but being an artist has many moving parts behind it: Once you write a song, you have to get it recorded. Once it's recorded, you have to get it produced. Once it's produced, you have to get it mixed. Once it's mixed, it has to compete against other songs, and so on. In my opinion, nothing is as important as the final mix and master. You could have fantastic production elements, but if people can't appreciate it, then does it even matter? I've had years of experience not only producing songs but being behind every-step of the process from writing to release.
With those releases, I've accumulated over half a million streams and thousands of dollars from TV placements on CBS, and I've trained my ears to know what mixing/mastering treatment works best for each song since no two-songs are the same.
More importantly than the social-proofing and technicalities of music, I understand that at the end of the day your music is your expression, and your opinion matters a lot to me. It has to simply sound good to me, and most importantly, you. I'm looking forward to building partnerships and creating some amazing music with you!

Endorse Jacob SeegerHave worked with Jacob on everything from songwriting to full productions for over 10 years. There’s no one I trust more recording and mixing my voice. And for as long as I can remember, Jacob has been my first call whenever I need an opinion on new music I’m writing. 10/10 every time.
Jacob is my go-to mixing and mastering engineer for any and all of my projects. He tunes and comps my vocals to perfection, as well as mixes and masters my productions at an industry standard high-level. Not only an incredible musician with a keen ear, Jacob is a patient, encouraging, and dependable engineer to work with. He utilizes his own skill and experience to mix and master, but puts the client's vision in the forefront of everything he does (happily and effortlessly!) He is so friendly in all of our exchanges, and his own original music is also amazing! Jacob is simply the best!
Interview with Jacob Seeger
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Mixing & Mastering is an extremely creative process. Although it is a service at the end of the day, it's also an expression and can be subjective. While my number one priority is making sure my clients are 100% satisfied with the mix/master, it is also important to me that I'm loving the process and also expressing myself in the mix as well. All steps of the process are creative!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Cairo Marques-Neto! A fantastic mixing/mastering engineer and producer. We've worked together multiple times :)
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I will do everything I can do deliver a mix & master you love. Your satisfaction is #1 to me.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I'd love to know how soon you need it by and if you have any reference mixes/masters! The rest I can fill in :)
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: There is a fantastic free plugin called the TDR Nova parallel dynamic EQ. This has been a crucial step in all of my mixes for preserving the presence of an instrument while also carving out space for the main focus of the mix.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I typically work on Pop/R&B or what some have also called Bedroom Pop.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: For mixing, it all starts with taking a listen. I listen to the tracks you send me and immediately I'll start getting ideas for how I can achieve a great mix out of it. After the mix & master are done, I always make sure to check the master on multiple speakers and devices (Macbook speakers, iPhone speakers, car speakers, etc) because not everybody will listen in an ideal environment! It's my goal to mix & master so it is easily digestible on every device.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: For mixing & mastering I have a pair of Yamaha HS5's, an Apollo Twin interface, UAD plugins, Soundtoys, Valhalla & many more miscellaneous plugins that help achieve a great sound. I have a home studio set up where I track, write, produce, and ultimately mix & master in. I know how the room sounds and can get a great sound of what I'm working with.
