I am a Philadelphia native with a passion for music. I've been singing my whole life and I began recording vocals in the studio about 15 years ago. I'be spent the past 2 years sining and arranging full time. I'd love to make some magic with you! Top Credits: Lilas Ir Innomine "Viskas", "Manęs Čia Nėra", "Mano Nemylimas Kaimyne"
I'm a professional vocalist and vocal arranger from Philadelphia, PA. My sound is an R&B/ Gospel/ Soul fusion and has been used for lead and background vocals on songs in all three genres. I most recently sang background soprano for a well-known local R&B/Soul band in Virginia's Hampton Roads area. My voice is most comfortable in the soprano voice part, but I sing all three voice parts and have a wide vocal range.
I offer background vocals, vocal arrangements and songwriting services (depending on the terms of our agreement). I am happy to customize any order to fit your unique needs. It is my goal to provide you with the most professional customer service experience and to ensure that your music comes out exactly the way you envisioned.
Hope to work with you!

The way she levels up a project is simply BANANAS!!! Give your track a treat and hire Shaunté Daurice!!!
Shauntè is as passionate as she is personable. I first started working with her about a year ago and have not only consistently collaborated on various musical endeavors but she also become a great friend as well as my own low key vocal coach! Her vocal arrangements are complex and pure magic - she makes it seem so easy!
Shauntè is the epitome of a music professional. Her implementation of harmony is second to none. After years of utilizing her services she still finds new techniques that pleasantly surprise me. She is open minded and is not afraid to try a new approach.
Shaunté does fantastic work. Whether it was verses, hooks, backing vocals, etc. she has always went above and beyond what I initially thought I was looking for. She’s extremely versatile and can help you take your tracks to the next level regardless of genre.
Interview with Shaunté Daurice
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm releasing a really cool duet with a friend I met through offering my background vocalist services. He wrote it and invited me to sing on it and I listen to it 12 times a day. It drops Friday and I couldn't be more excited. I am also working on a summer 2-pack. I'm dropping two new chill songs that I'm really excited about. Aside from that, I'm working with a few musicians and producers to write some things for other artists. It's been a great year so far!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I will bring my very best every time and I will work until you are ecstatic about the product.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like that I get to help people take their music and ideas to new heights. I love it when a client says I did more than they could have imagined. That speaks volumes to me.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it's easy. Doing it is easy. Doing it WELL takes a lot of talent, education, training and practice.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Tell me about your vision for this song. What was the inspiration? What is the song about? How can I help take this song to the desired level?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't just choose a good voice, choose someone who you believe will bring something more to your work. I aways say, just because it's good, doesn't mean it couldn't have been better.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My phone (that's where all my song ideas live), sunglasses (to see my phone better) ... that's really all I got.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been singing since 3, writing songs since 15, recording since 19 and singing background professionally for about 7 years now. I have been a singer and performer literally my entire life.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is imaginative, soulful and moving.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Brandy! She's been an inspiration to me for so long. I believe I could learn so much about music and life from her.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Try to find a balance between doing exactly as the client asks and being true to yourself and an artist or producer. Make suggestions humbly and respectfully when appropriate. Most clients will actually be thankful for what you bring to the table.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on R&B, Soul, Gospel and a little bit of House.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is my imagination. I can hear and place notes in places that a client doesn't expect. I also tend to stay away from typical oohs and aah and focus more on brining out certain lyrics. Past clients have really loved that.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a uniquely soulful sound, crisp and complex harmonies and an original tone. I pride myself on having a voice and that stands out in an era where many female vocalists sound the same.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I listen to a sample of a client's song and ask what they are looking to have done. Next, I ask some questions about their vision for the song, and inspirations or references and what feel they are ultimately going for. Form there, I start creating. I typically just go with my gut. On a rare occasion that a client was looking for different, I always offer two revisions so that I can implement their feedback to get the perfect sound.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a small home studio, which includes a Bluebird mic, an iMac, a Kaotica Eyeball and Logic Pro X. It really gets the job done!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Brandy and Jazmine Sullivan are my top two inspirations. They always have intricate and inspirational background vocals.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most commonly, I create background vocal arrangements and sing them on my clients' songs. I also write and/or sing hooks and add adlibs throughout the songs to create fullness and give a more polished and professional sound.
