hired amber to rework an already existing chorus. i felt that my chorus had a good melody, but it was a bit too wordy for my liking.
i aimed to have amber rework the chorus to be more simple and she delivered. i look forward to the next time we can work together.

Amber was able to deliver a cool super melodic vocal that I hadn't been able to come up on my own. Highly recommend!

Interview with Amber Roper
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Typically when sent a song I'm hired to write to, I first need the vibe behind the track. Is it a love song? Happy song? Heartbreak song? Chill song? After I figure out the vibe, I can create a story behind the song (something I've been through or could imagine going through) and play the track on repeat. I come up a melody pretty fast and then am able to write lyrics to the script in my head by the third or fourth time I've heard the track. From there, I lay down vocals, mix, and master to the client's liking.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use Logic Pro X to record and mix all my vocals and I use Scarlett Studio to record.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Macbook Pro, iPad, iPhone, iPod, microphone.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Extremely versatile! One moment I write an R&B style song that can be compared to Mahalia and the next moment I'm singing a country song that puts me in the frame-set of Kelsea Ballerini. I can create pop music in the style of Halsey yet still cross over to Christian music in the style of Hollyn. I believe my strength of versatility is my greatest advantage.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: R&B, Pop, Techno, Christian/Gospel, some country
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Songwriting and creating a melody
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Lyrics, melody, spunk, style, an entire story.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Halsey, Hayley Williams, Kiana Lede, DaniLeigh, Ellie Goulding, SZA, Ariana Grande, Hollyn
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work I do for my clients is songwriting, coming up with lyrics and a melody and providing a vocal demo.
