Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Multiple albums for different artists. Doing both production, tracking, mixing, and mastering.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. You can't argue with the fact that it's faster and more efficient.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Some people think that every time I mix a vocal, or master a song I run it through the same preset chain, but I definitely do not. I am careful and apply each plugin and effect with purpose to achieve something. No two songs will have the same chain from me.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: For all my friends working on EDM, sidechain, sidechain, sidechain. Put compressors and limiters on many channels and busses to get more loudness with less headroom. Some key elements to getting extremely loud masters.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I am extremely picky with music and make sure every aspect of a song is as near perfect as it can be. I love to ensure that your melody, chords, and vocals all align to the same mood and align with the artists' vision. I also thrive to help create pieces that are timeless and memorable.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Some of my biggest musical inspirations are Timbaland, Prince, Juice WRLD, Krewella, DJ Swivel and The Weeknd.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I primarily do vocal tracking, vocal tuning and mixing, as well as beat making, mixing and mastering.
