  1. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  3. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  4. A: Dave Weckl, Ash Loan, Justin Scott, Chris Whitten, John Bohnam, Buddy Rich, Ringo Star, Stewart Copland

  5. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  6. A: I’m a Brazilian professional drummer. I’ve 40 years as a pro and 30 as a hired gun of the most popular artists in Brazil. Session studio drummer as well.

  7. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  8. A: I recorded almost all the drums on an instrumental album called "Bicho musico". I loved the result.

  9. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  10. A: I’m organizing my on-line drum classes and workshops. Also creating a drum channel only for drum tips, like tunning, choosing the best hardware, maintenance, etc.

  11. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  12. A: Yes. Bruno Migliari. An amazing musician! Great bass player and producer.

  13. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  14. A: Both have their value. They are different processes at different times. Two ways to create and listen to sounds.

  15. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  16. A: I will be loyal to my work. I will be kind, polite and elegant in the social deal. I will do my best in every part of the process! I will be worth it!

  17. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  18. A: The infinite variety of things that can be done in music. Hundreds of different paths, according to the taste and skills of each one.

  19. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  20. A: How long will it take to get the job done? My answer: I depend on the job.

  21. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  22. A: Well, people commonly think that playing an instrument is just a hobby, not work! This way of thinking bothers me a lot.

  23. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  24. A: Could you tell me everything you think about your music in detail? Do you need me just to run or to create too?

  25. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  26. A: You’ll won’t regret it! You’ll won’t forget me!

  27. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  28. A: A kick drum,a snaredrum a hihat, an IPhone and an earphone.

  29. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  30. A: I Started to play in 1974, when I was 9. My fist professional job was in 1981. Non stop since then. I’ve played with so many artists and bands with different styles and status, from small gigs to giant stadiums.Now I’m 56.

  31. Q: How would you describe your style?

  32. A: My style is think about what each song needs.

  33. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  34. A: I would love to work with Daryl Hall and John Oats, because my playing fits them so much. Not to mention the immense variety of beautiful compositions.

  35. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  36. A: The tip is, mix exactly what you were asked with what you think of the music.

  37. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  38. A: I’ve been working in the pop rock music field for many years. but I always played all styles, because, as a session musician, this is what gives respect and reliability.

  39. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  40. A: My strongest skill is to build grooves and execute them in the most musical and precise way possible

  41. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  42. A: Musicality, creativity and precision

  43. Q: What's your typical work process?

  44. A: First, I analyze the song. Then I divide the different gooves by parts of the music. Then I rehearse several times until it is good to record.
