Hello! I'd like to introduce myself Robert Ivan the founder of Urban Jungle Records and my partner Ravi Bindra. Based out of New York City, we offer you a very unique service of music production and mix engineering.
We would like to start out by saying that we are not Grammy award winning or platinum certified producers...yet ;) I (Robert) began my musical journey in 2014. At 15 years old I had decided that school was not gonna work out so well for me so i decided to join an intense music production/business boot camp called Cosmic Academy. I had the pleasure of having two amazing mentors. Bo, my music instructor was a professor at The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU. As for the music business side I had Justin Cohen, the founder of Cosmic Opera. I am a creative music producer and mixing engineer with over 7 years of experience. My goals is to make sure I provide exactly what the client wants. I can produce a full track or simply mix down your music/vocals. I also believe that there should some sort of synergy with my clients and I.
My partner Ravi Bindra, also a New York City native has an extensive resume in the live performance and recording field. Coming from a percussion background he has traveled the world playing alongside various international artists as well as exclusive private events over the past 20 years. Music production and engineering was always his fuel for passion. His developed ear has allowed him to be such a key component in delivering the best results to our clients.
Thank You!

Interview with Urban Jungle Records
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: At the moment we are working with multiple artists that we are developing and producing music for.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital, because racking up tons of analog equipment is a pain in the butt. Digital is way more convenient, especially in this age.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: One tip we can share on music production is - Always listen to your first instinct when coming up with ideas. Usually your gut is always right. You can spend hours and hours looking for things and wind up back to the original idea you had.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: We usually work on Dance music, hip-hop, and Latin pop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: One of the strongest skills we possess includes recognizing what the artist really needs and how we can take a step towards achieving their ultimate goals.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: We bring a strong sense of creativity and uniqueness and aim for the best possible outcome of the track in every aspect.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Our typical work process for every project is first deciding whetheror not we would like to work with artist. Next we like to sit down and really study the artist to get a good feeling for his/her energy. Afterwards, we'll begin creating about 3 ideas that we think would fit perfectly for the artist as well as deliver the best quality production for sales. We'll choose the best of the 3 samples and send it over. Finally, we'll ask the client to send us a feedback about the track or tell us if it is not a right fit for their artist. If they do proceed with the track we'll finish it within 2-3 business days and deliver the end product. We do want to express that we do not make beats and send people catalogs. We make music for every individual so its very personalized.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Our studio setup consists of 2 pairs of Yamaha HS8's, Apollo Twin sound card, Sterling headphone amp, BLUE microphone, Les Paul electronic guitar and Ibanez acoustic guitar, Roland Handsonic HPD-20 drum pad machine, DJM-900 mixer, (2) CDJ-2000 Nexus players, well over $30,000 worth of samples, a long list of plugins for engineering, Ableton Live 10 Suite, FL Studio, Pro Tools, Alienware Aurora desktop computer with top of the line specs.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Other musicians or production professionals that inspire us come from all different genres. In the dance music genre, we get inspired by ZHU, Kaytranada, Mark Alow and many more. In the hip-hop genre, we get inspired by listening to JAY-Z, Eminem, Nas, Tupac and many more. In the pop genre, we get inspired by listening to Aluna George, Arianna Grande, FKJ, Ella Mai and many more. In the latin pop scene, we get inspired by JBalvin, Ozuna, Bad Bunny and many more. We always also find inspiration in 70's,80's and 90's music too. I think were safe to say that we love any kind of music/sounds.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Are you in this for the music or the money?
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Our promise to our clients is that we will only suggest something for the betterment of the project (NOT for OUR taste or likes)
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The thing we like the most about our job is that we can work remotely from anywhere in the world.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Customers most commonly ask us - "How long does it take to produce a full length track?" We always say - "As long as it takes to get it just how they want it."
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception about what we do is this "overnight sensation" idea. In other words, people believing in one track making you an overnight success.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: A piece of advice for customers looking to hire us is that we want to create hit records for our clients and to build long-term relationships. We always say - when you are waiting for a great entree in a restaurant, it takes time for it to be prepared perfectly. In order for us to achieve the ideal sounds for our customers, we put in a lot of creativity and effort, which requires a lot of time. At the end of the day, when you hand in a great product, the client will always come back wanting more.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: We would take our computer, monitors, sound card, microphone and guitar.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: We would describe our style as modern with a touch of simplicity.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: One artist we would like to work with is Aluna George. We love her voice and every track she has released. We also have a good catalog of music for her voice.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Our career path was always in music production and sound engineering. We have been doing this for over 7 years.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
