I produce and write commercial yet outside-the-box sounding pop music for singers all over the world, taking influence from electropop, hyperpop, rock, hip hop and R&B and offer producing, mixing and remixing services. I am a 10+ years user of Logic, currently using Logic X, with extensive experience recording, tuning and mixing vocals.

I work with a number of contestants from RuPaul’s Drag Race. I produced 2 EPs worth of material for RPDRUK Season 4 contestant Le Fil, which involved creating songs from a variety of different genres on a strict deadline, from rock to disco to EDM. I then went onto produce a 5 minute show-stopping number that Le Fil would later go on to perform at the Royal Albert Hall. Subsequently I was the music producer for the Angels Of The North tours in 2024 and 2025, the tour of the RPDRUK Season 5 top 3 contestants Michael Marouli, Tomara Thomas and Ginger Johnson, which involved making mixes, original music, voiceovers and mixing/mastering on a tight schedule. I also produced mixes for Le Fil and Michael Marouli for their performances at Drag Con in UK and LA.

I'm also a solo artist, a gay singer/songwriter writing pop music for outsiders, combining electropop beats with emotional melodies, the vast majority being self-written, produced, mixed and mastered. I have been booked to perform across the UK and US, including London, New York and Fort Lauderdale, supporting acts such as Todrick Hall, Betty Who, Dragonette and Tiffany.

I have been working freelance full-time since 2020, and love the variety of artists I get to work with from all over the world. I am incredibly versatile with an eclectic taste, and have yet to find a genre of music I cannot make my own in my production.

Interview with Lostchild UK

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My biggest achievement so far is that I wrote, produced, mixed and mastered a 9 track album for pop singer Mickey Taylor in approx. 2 months, which peaked at #43 on the UK iTunes Pop Album Chart.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: A mixture of the two! I like a mix of live and electronic sounds.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Can I make a song that sounds like 'this' song... the answer is yes! I can easily emulate the sound of another song whilst having enough of my own touch to keep it fresh.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That a producer is very set in stone with the sound he does. Not true with me! I like all kinds of pop music, commercial and alternative, and love to jump from genre to genre on different projects.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I specialise in commercial, often dark, electronic pop with 80s influences, and have experience working on atmospheric R&B.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: What about something for you? :-)
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will make something for you that I love just as much as you do.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love a singer's reactions when they hear their song come to life.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask them for some sound references and influences and about the meaning and mood of the song itself.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't be afraid to be brutally honest. If you don't get that rush of joy when you listen to something I've done for you, it's not there yet. I turn around productions very quickly, and I can completely reinvent a track very easily if you let me know what you don't like.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My Electric Guitar, Macbook Pro, Midi Keyboard, Microphone and KRK Speakers. My home set up is simple and all I need. Although this isn't including the power generator I'd need as there are no outlets on a desert island... right?!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been a music producer for 10 years. I started out as a producer for other singers, then had some success as a solo artist the past 4 years, whilst still focusing on remixes, productions and having fun.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Emotional, commercial electronic pop, with retro influences.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: The Weeknd would be amazing to work with, because so much of his sound has an extremely dark, hard edge but is ultra-melodic at the same time, and this combination of ideas and sounds is where I shine.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always love what you do. If you aren't passionate about it, you can't expect anyone else to be.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Chords and melody. I love taking a song and bringing it to life with counter melodies and moving chords.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Melody, atmosphere, groove and fun! All my songs stand out for being super melodic, whilst still maintaining that commercial edge.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I normally ask the singer for whatever they have so far, and I make a full demo production and send it back for notes. I work well remotely, and am happy to make as many changes as needed.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio set up is simple. I have a recent model MacBook Pro, with Logic Pro X, a midi-keyboard, an electric guitar (Patrick Eggle), an Ibanez acoustic guitar, and an SE2200a Microphone, and KRK Rokit 5 speakers.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by Frankmusik for having creative control over every aspect of his music, and working hard to continue making the music he loves. I have also got lifetime respect for Madonna for constantly pushing boundaries in an industry that has always been determined to take her down.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I make melodic yet dark electronic pop productions at a low cost for singers, including original compositions and remixes. I work very closely with singers in making sure every detail is exactly as they would like it. I also offer advice and help with recording vocals and with writing lyrics.
