Interview with HERITAGE X
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Transparent but effective.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Ian Kirkpatrick: he's very innovative.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Every change needs to be assessed within the context of the mix. While working on the project the mix will change again and you will have to go back to each single track and fix it. This is perfectly normal, you shouldn’t expect to work each channel ones and get the right setting straight away, because correct setting will depend on other decisions that you have yet to make to other channels.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mainly Electronic Dance Music while staying open to the influence of other genres and production techniques.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My ears are trained for long sessions, it's difficult for me to lose the focus even after 5-6 hours of work.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: +10 Years of expertise in Mixing and Mastering, in four words: the highest commercial quality.
Q: What's your typical work process?

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Josh Gudwin, Steve Savage
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Making great mixes requires creativity in combination with the practical understanding of the process of building a mix. Initial recording and editing work tends to be less complicated because the practical aspect of recording can often be separated from the creative process. Mixing represents the process whereby the musical vision and the audio reality come together. Making final masters requires understanding the goal of mastering and developing a specialised ear for achieving those goals. The function of mastering is often not clearly understood and the process is often considered beyond the capabilities of a home or project studio.
