  2. A: I think not understand how much work is involved.

  8. A: Ernie ball bass, Steinway piano, Martin Acoustic, My Mac and Juno.

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: I started as a classically trained trombonist. Switched to bass at 16. Played in various bands in my early 20s. Then gravitated to the studio and production side shortly after. I have been working on music for 20 years.

  12. A: Attention to detail, with an I eye on the big picture.

  13. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  14. A: Childish Gambino. He is a true artist and his music cant be contained in one genres.

  16. A: Have vision of the finish line and plan for that.

  18. A: R&B/ Soul

  20. A: Listening aka Ears

  24. A: Communication is key. When I work with an artist or band, the goal is to quickly understand their sonic aesthetic. That way we are speaking the same language. Once we have an understanding, we will go over goals for the project.

  25. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  26. A: My production setup is a Mac Pro running Protools 12 and Logic X. I run a Presonus 1602 and a Apollo twin. U87 mic, Shure 7b mostly. Several Synths from Yamaha and Various guitars and basses.

  28. A: Pharrell Williams and Rick Rubin

  30. A: Music production that includes arrangement, writing melodies, instrumentation to mixing.
