Hey, I'm Javier Garavito – but you can call me Jav.
I've been working in DAWs since 1988 (I was a kid!) and have loved every minute of it. Although I've had a few chances to pursue performing over the years, my calling has always been to produce. Finding the heart of a song with an artist, streamlining the arrangement, melody, and harmonic movements... there's nothing better for me. I succumbed to early success in gaming and established a career there, while my musical spirit sat on the sidelines.
Fortunately(?) I'm part zombie and don't need much sleep. So over the years, I've honed my production craft and kept up with current mixing techniques, while outfitting my home studio. A few years ago, much to my delight, my musical pursuits took over my gaming ones.
I'm a music producer. I'm a mixing and mastering engineer. I’m in constant pursuit of the balance between capturing the vibe of a track and exquisite sonics. Maybe that’s what helps me arrange, edit, and comp complex tracks (i.e. vocals, instruments) with a smile. And if you need a mean bass line or synth track, I’m your guy.

I'm currently producing the latest album for Champagne Sunday with my friend, Shawn Simmons (The Head and the Heart, Lemolo). With the bizarre state of the world right now, we, unfortunately, had to cut our sessions at Studio Litho short. However, both Shawn and I have quite capable home studios in which to finalize the guitar and vocals tracks left. Then, it's on to mixing!
