I'm a music producer/writer that has worked with Drake, Omarion, Futuristic, NF, Witt Lowry, etc.
I was surrounded by an endless amount of music influences at a young age. Because of my love for all of it, I'm passionate in producing all different types of music. Rock, Rap, Pop, R&B, you name it! I'm most known as a music producer, but i can also write, sing, and engineer a pro tools session very well!

Interview with Joey Castellani
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: If you know what you want, and the sound you want to achieve, allowing me to help will achieve that sound at the highest level.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, Headphones. Thats it.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started as a music producer around the age of 14. I started taking it seriously around 16. so thats 9 years of producing that has lead me to working with arguably the biggest artist in the world, Drake. However, over the last two years I've wrote and sang my own music so I'm trying to do all 3 of those things on my own, but also help other people with their musical journeys.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: GENRE-LESS
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Post Malone because he has zero boundaries. He can sing a raw acoustic song, a heavy rock song, or the hottest rap song on the radio. He's the epitome of the modern day Rockstar.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: keep things as simple as possible. it took me years to learn not to over produce a song. once i figured that out everything went to a much higher level as far as quality.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip Hop, Pop, Alternative. but i can producer any genre you have in mind.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Producing is my strongest skill for the last 10 years. but writing and singing have been a pretty close 2nd for the last 2 years.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I can take just about idea you give me and turn it into something very special. theres not many boundaries when it comes to what i can bring to a song.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I typically take ideas and demos from an artist and build the entire song around it on my own.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a simple home setup. I have Adam a7x studio monitors which are a standard to alot of professionals for mixing. I have a Neuman tlm 103 which is the best mic in the world in my opinion. I also have a mini moog voyager if you're in to classic synths!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Theres so many Hip Hop Influences on me. Timbaland, Dre, OVO 40. I try to mix those producer influences with my love for bands like Linkin Park and Oasis. I also draw a lot of influence from Post Malone as of late. My R&B influences from Jodeci and Anthony Hamilton also come into play. Sorry theres a huge melting pot of music in my head!!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I'm typically the producer during the creation process, but recently I've been asked to write, sing, and engineer on projects.
