I craft baselines with great care and attention to detail, all while maintaining big picture phrasing and musical momentum. I currently tour and record with the James Hunter Six. I'm now including BOTH upright AND electric bass for any song that you might want to have both options for; all for my standard 1 song fee. :)

I currently work with The James Hunter Six and Andrew Duhon. I played bass on Andrew Duhon's Grammy nominated record, "The Moorings". Additionally I've worked with Alvin Youngblood Hart, Eric Lindell, Seth Walker, Luke Winslow King, Colin Lake, and many others.
I specialize in working with singer songwriters and love great storytelling.
In addition to years of experience touring and performing around New Orleans, I also have formal education in music which is helpful for arranging and working with string sections.
Also, thanks to my background in classical music, I'm keen to put a bow on the bass for a lyrical approach when supportive to the track.

Check out the demo track!
I am very easy to work with and not happy unless the artist is happy.

Myles has beautifully executed what I asked whilst putting his own flare onto the track. He will enhance your track 10 fold, 100% would recommend!

Myles is one of the best bass players i know. When I had a track that i just couldn't crack the code on, Myles' bassline was the missing link. Now, I'm looking forward to releasing the track as a single when previously it was just going to be a deep cut on the album. Truly a treasure.

If you’re looking for an upright bass player, stop here and hire Myles. He’s extremely easy to work with, brought plenty of great ideas to my songs, and plays masterfully. Great guy and brilliant musician.

Myles Weeks is a bass playing pro. Period. His ear is unbelievable and his quickness to learn and His attention to nuance details and tone have always amazed me. Myles is relentless when it come to creating the right bass line with the right tone. On top of being a master in the studio, Myles brings a strong energy and sound to every live performance. When I think of amazing bass players I know, Myles Weeks is the first name that comes to mind.
