Ben Frank on SoundBetter

Hey, you! Are you tired of working with producers that don't know how to capture your sound?! Are only interested in getting paid? And can't actually play chords on a piano??!! If that's you then we should TALK!! You won't be disappointed, my studio has over $10,000 worth of equipment, I'm a studied pianist for over 10yrs & I'M ALL ABOUT CO-LAB.

Hey, I'm Ben Frank and I just might be your producer. I'm a studied musician, songwriter & vocalist. I've worked in professional studio recording sessions and have studied sound design and engineering.

Do you need "DOPE" synth sounds?! Don't click on another link!! Synthesis is my expertise. Below you can see some of my gear highlights like the Korg Prologue-16 & Moog Matriarch.

Before you go grab that sample of an electric guitar off of splice PLEASE ask me first!!
Not only do I play piano/synths but I have also been playing both acoustic & electric guitar for over 10yrs.

I want to help you LOVE your music! I have the equipment, the skill and passion to make that a reality.
I won't quit if you won't quit & if you quit, I WON'T QUIT.
You have my word.

I'm Ben Frank and I just might be your producer.

Interview with Ben Frank

  1. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  2. A: Creative vocal production, fantastic synth textures, elegant plugins and better mix then when the song arrived to me.

  3. Q: What's your typical work process?

  4. A: In a typical work process, once I receive payment, I will ask for the bounce files(Logic session preferred) and rough deadline. From there I'd like to hear from the artist about what they'd like the song to feel like, it's inspirations and if possible a reference track. Once we have those few things we are ready to get started. I like to start by tightening up the vocals and cleaning up the mix if need be. From there I will work on sound replacement and start making suggestion to the artist on additional sounds and melodies. I will send rough mix updates every 2 days leading up to the deadline or until artists is loving what they are hearing.

  5. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  6. A: At the heart of my studio is my Platform desk by Output, It bring all of my rack gear to one central place and creates a much smoother work flow. I am using Yamaha HS7 Monitors, Clarett 8Pre Thunderbolt Interface and a UA Twinfinity Mic Preamp pared with a Neumann TLM 103 & Shure SM7B. The instruments I am using are a Moog Matriarch, two Moog Mother-32's, Korg Prologue-16, Fender American Professional Telecaster Deluxe & Taylor 210 Acoustic. These are just some of the equipment I am using and I am constantly upgrading and finding better/new equipment all the time.

  7. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  8. A: I am very inspired by Andy Park, producer/co-producer of Noah Gundersen and many other artists. Every album he is apart of producing is sonically inspiring and enveloping,

  9. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  10. A: The most common type of work I do for clients is music production, vocal production, mixing & mastering.
