Authentic and creative music

Jonah Schwartz on SoundBetter

I play a bunch of different instruments and love working with a wide variety of artists to look for new sounds and experiment in new areas. I'm interested in a lot of different styles of music: folk, drone, afrobeat, rock, experimental, and everywhere in between. I can typically turn over jobs pretty fast, depending on the complexity.

I am a Philadelphia born musician, living since 2004 in Buenos Aires. I play acoustic and electric guitar, clawhammer banjo, mandolin, harmonica, and I sing and do voice over work. A lot of my work has been with bands that do Americana or roots music, but I also have played in afrobeat, psych, psych-folk, drone and experimental projects.
I write music and songs, and have my own recording setup, with some nice gear, some of it unusual.

I wrote many songs, played mandolin, guitar, harmonica and sang with Los Alamos, who won "Best first Album of the Year" from Rolling Stone in 2005:
