Interview with nowmixstudio
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work on everything that the client brings me, but making preliminary plays in case it is not among the genres I usually work on
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Drums, Guitar and Voice ;)
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I try to give my interpretation, without however depriving the song of its nature
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I listen to the material, I try to understand what the stylistic intentions are, also asking the customer for information. I cut all the parts of the tracks that are not needed, I perform a general balance, then I begin to equalize and compress everything that needs this process. If I can not compress I do not, I am not a lover of compression at all costs. Lastly I pan and begin to give depth to the mix, with reverbs and delays.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work mainly in the box for the facility of recalling all the mix settings if there is a need. But I also work in hybrid mode, to give "more life" to the works, especially when the genres require it most.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I like listening to the works of many mix engineers and producers, I try to take everything I like best from each of them
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I deal with recordings, mixings and mastering. I also work online for artists who record their songs on their own and then need a professional mix. I also work as a FOH sound engineer for concerts and festivals. In theaters and clubs offering live music or theatrical performances.
